Good tips, and review for me since I watch it before. I may practice some food photography at a future date. See what I could do creatively.

Su foto si cuenta una historia, desde los ingredientes desenfocados en el fondo, hasta es resultado final en pura definición, y claro, su excelente control de textura e iluminación.

All those pictures at the intro would never pass the portfolio test in 2021. Shows how far we have come as an industry in recent years. Sure, photography kinda has become easier. Also, the bar has been raised drastically.

Nice how-to's, very much into practical sides of product photography. Just one thing... that 24-105 from Canon is not a "macro" type of lens. Even though I'd love to, as it would be the perfect 9-times-out-of-10 lens.

i am mesmerized by the knowledge you carry Rick... I am learning Product Photography, how do i begin, I have canon 3000D and lens 18-55 and bunch of pulse and cereals... my assignment is to click for the ecommerce site, and i am clueless with the amount of light which is flowing on the object... Please help

Definetly, usually prime lenses have a better sharpness...like the 50mm f/1,8 it's only 100$ and does a REALLY great shot! :D

Cool to see some of the gear and techniques used in a food photography shoot. Sounds like there's almost as much dental gear as camera gear ;-)

I was surprised not to see a tilt/shift lens, rather a 24-105mm. Interesting. Just goes to show you it's more the technique I guess.

Really great studio, congrats as Mark said "very organized and clean" thats a plus always. The scrim between the soft and product.. which one is it? I've been looking for a scrim like that since I live in central america is hard to find stuff here, sometimes I buy it from stores like Adorama and ship it here. Thanks a lot!

Mashed Potatoes and White Glue work rather nicely, add food coloring to suit the flavour of ice cream you'r going for.

The part about organization is awkward and unnecessary. If you're shooting tethered, doesn't the image show on the computer screen before you activate the shutter? Isn't this "Live view"? So, everything your using on the table has a purpose? REALLY? Lot's of standing around and talking, not a lot of images and examples.

Professional shoots usually wast all the fool because they use all sorts of chemicals to make the food look good. Super glue thing together, hair spray/ in this case DD40 for sheen etc.. Its definitely going in the dumpster after..
