Two years ago I was making good money, my pay has gone up since then but my taxes are now half my paycheck. So even though I could afford nice things 2 years ago and should have more money to spend now, I'm instead struggling to survive. Perhaps they have hit the same situation, and perhaps we shouldn't judge people based off what they wear or drive.

I bet you those people don’t have savings to take them in between jobs… emergency fund etc… life happens.. can’t afford the car anymore? Get rid of it and take the bus… leave the food banks to people who really need it …
