Learn how to play, know the rules to this classic strategy game that has just got it's expansion released. Note: it took us a bit to think about which order is the most logical sence to explain first :). A couple of minor clarifications: 1. When playing with any of: Kimchi, Sushi, or Noodles, you add one luxury manager to the game 2. Coffee is not considered a drink for the purposes of any milestones referring to drinks

@4:30 the distance to Duck Diner from house #1 is three, not five. The point about sales with kimchi remain accurate though.

@@MeepleUniversity played 3 nights in a row so far... my wife broke down after playing with original milestones. Man they are a punish. Especially the free cfo one. Ouch. The expansion is a great improvement. This is my favourite boardgame.

Hi! In the first marketeer milestone... The - 2 distance is for any house or apartment in the map or only for the one you put your desired marketing and pick 5 dollars per each token?... Amazing video, thank you!

Hi, firstly thank you for the great work! Secondly, I have a question about the ketchup milestone. Does it work as any other milestone? I mean, once someone receives it, then it leaves the game for the other players? It looks so OP. Cheers

Yes, it works like any other milestone - (we only separated it from the rest because it was the game's namesake).

Please can you tell me why, at 25:15, you would add burgers to houses 13 and 15 ? As its a mailbox, surely it should only be number 25 ? However, does the rounded ending to the road mean the mailbox carries on around to the other side of the road ? Even if it did though, it still wouldnit pass house 15.

Hi, The Innerparty. The mailbox drop advertises to all houses inside its area enclosed by either roads or the edge of the map - its area of influence is not impeded by buildings of any type. So, in the example at 25:15, every house on the left-hand side of the map (except for one in the 2×2 square at the bottom corner) is inside Mailbox 8's area of reach.

Indeed. Like many of the milestones in the game, you may end up contriving your first few actions for the sole purpose of securing your preferred milestones.

At 4:35 you say the Blue restaurant is 5 away from the house. Does the road to the left not count? I only ask in case I missed somethign in the rules. I was counting it as a 3 distance, going left then down.

@@MeepleUniversity Thanks, I've only played once, so I wasn't sure. It didn't affect the example at all! I came to the video for the overview, which was great. I want to get the xpac while it's available, but I hesitate since we've only played the one time. But after watching this, I now know what will come in the xpac, thanks a lot!

Are you sure on 8:21 the order. Seems that both noodles go to the bottom of the list. Only a minute prior you stated “only if they cannot get their entire demand met...”.

Hi, Jesse, thanks for the question. Yes, the order as given at 8:21 is confirmed in the rule book. The key clarification is that any valid set of foods including kimchi will outrank any valid set of foods without kimchi - even if that means noodles + kimchi outranking the as-advertised demand.

I may be wrong but I think you have explained the 1x card rules incorrectly. My understanding of those rules is that, for games involving 2 or 3 players only one player may own a 1x card. In games with 4 players, up to two players may own a 1x card and in games with 5 or 6 players up to three players may own a 1x card of each type. No player may ever own more than one of the same 1x card in any player count but there are multiple copies of the card for the higher player counts. This rule outlined in the base game rules and it applies to all the cards with the 1x symbol on them.

@@bullseyebond669 Thanks for clarifying which section, as the Movie Stars do work slightly different to the other 1× cards. You treat all movie stars as being a single type of employee when setting up (i.e. for determining how many are in the game) and for 1× restrictions (i.e. each player may employ only a single movie star). The distinction between B-Movie, C-Movie and D-Movie stars is necessary for breaking ties; and, as such you set it up so that there is no more than one of each type in the game. (So, in the 4p game, you'd set up with just a B and C Movie Star, for example).
