What I love about some of your videos and videos like this in general is it’s something of an adventure. I remember exploring as a kid and in a sense this brings me back to that. Thanks for the great content my friend!

The area looks great now! I always cringe when I see tree branches with bag worm webs in them. A few decades ago I remember Kentucky lost quite a few horses mysteriously. The entomologists and veterinary doctors figured out the bag worms were the silent killers. Trees in the pastures and paddocks were infested, the worms would drop to the ground where the horses would consume them along with the grass. It took time to kill the bag worms. Cut the branches/limbs/trees and burn them, use wasp spray, or both, which some liked a little too much. Canned wasp spray and a lighter 💥🔥! Thank you, Davin, and hugs to Mysti!

Does my heart good to see tallow trees turned into so much mulch. Hate those things. Unfortunately you have to dig out the root mass or it just sprouts back up.

I want to mow my tiny suburban grass lawn with one of these things just to freak out my neighbors.

He charges by the number of ‘good little ways’ he has to clear.. ;-)

I really enjoy watching you do this "clean up and out" work. The kid in me gets a kick out of it. I'm guessing you expect to see some dead fall and stumps and even hidden ditches while doing this work. You might not be happy to find them, but they're not totally unexpected. I do have a couple of questions if you don't mind. What is the most unusual man made item you have found hidden in thick cover? What man made item caused the most damage to one of your machines? I have a suggestion for you to help you with mounting your camera in different places. Since the roof seems to be the best place, you might want to consider making some sort of steel cage with an open front and either bolt or weld it to the top of the roof so when you have to deal with brush that might knock the camera off that the camera is protected and the brush would then just bend out of the way and not hit the camera.

Munchie, much prefer watching you run the MTL to the Prinoth. The Prinoth is like watching paint dry. The MTL is real action.

I have always been looking for wild game to flush from the property you are doing there and finally got to see a bird flush from in front of the machine. Have expected deer to break from their beds.

Have you ever considered perhaps modifying the XCT to have side-gates you could pull open, possibly with hang-chain guards or something, like the back of a three-point brush hog? Obviously, that would be rather dangerous in any kind of populated area, but a lot of your work seems to be in reasonably remote settings. Seems like that might be a possible way to allow some of the material to exit, instead of bogging the cutter quite so much when you're just plowing through lighter stuff.

Would like to see your progress using a drone.

Great machine. So what is the duty cycle on the blades for that machine? Do you keep spares and resharpen or was that a silly question given the nature of what it is cutting?

Good Job on clearing for those food plots,I did some of the same stuff this past weekend with a bush hog...I hate those dang deer flies..got bit way too many times this weekend....🤬...Good Job Again !!! I wonder if that turkey had a nest there ?

If I was cutting all that, I’d do what I call double passes. Meaning I’d make a long cut, then I would go right back over the same cut, and make another pass down the same one that I just did to make sure each row was cut right down as low as possible. Yes it would take a little longer to do it my way but, it would look a lot better and it would be as low as possible. And I know what I’m talking about because my daddy owns a tremendous amount of land in northeast North Carolina. In Currituck county / Camden County / Pasquotank County / Perquimans County / Gates County & Hertford County. In PERQUIMANS / GATES / HERTFORD COUNTY, Him and two other business partners, Own many acres in these counties. All totaled, 7,678 Acres. In the 1st 3 counties, Daddy owns 11,885 Acres. I spend nearly every day in the seat of a CATERPILLAR SKID STEER MOWER Set up just like yours….

The drum mulcher has it uses but the MTL is more fun to watch. It clears more area faster.

what is the next step in clearing that land after you get done ?

Look for the old fashion water filled fire extinguishers or just a backpack sprayer for fighting smaller fires caused by plant matter getting too hot. 2 to 10 gallons of water so a lot longer then the dry chemical units and you can refill them easily without any special equipment. Yes not good for electric or fuel fires but the point is to get the burning grass/weeds out before it gets to that point.

Hi, I have a question you might answer. I always keep my bush hog blade sharp as I cut a field with fescue.. Never no trees etc. But I need to cut some small pines, bushes, wild rose down soon. Maybe 6" tall trees. I have a 4 wheel drive JD 32 HP with front end loader. Its strong. What you suggest a dull kinda blade or sharp. I don't want to puncture tires!? Thanks..

I mean this as no criticism of or disrespect to yourself as you are merely providing a service for a client and I can determine nothing of your personal attitudes with regard to it. I also appreciate that under such circumstances you probably cannot comment on the ethics of a client's requirements from a personal perspective without incurring potentially adverse consequences for your business. However I cannot help speculating regarding some aspects of this presentation upon which I hope you are willing to elaborate. Is the property intended for 'hunting' as in riding cross country on horseback? If not, then is the work you were commissioned to perform intended to facilitate efficient control of feral pest species or otherwise simplify acquisition of game meat comparable to use of a 'deer stand'? If not, then I do not understand what kind of 'hunting property' can have tracks cut all over it purely for the convenience of comfortable access? At risk of stating the obvious true hunting is an ancient and venerable art which is not subject to distinctions based upon cultural considerations therefore every truly serious practitioner should abide by the same rules. The spirit of hunting is for a hunter to employ their skills against wild animals in an environment as naturally pristine as possible where the animals are truly and completely wild. No tracker dogs, no horses and no other exceptional advantage of any kind beyond personal skill and preference for permissible weapons. In this way animals can employ every advantage with which they are naturally equipped otherwise where is the challenge and therefore satisfaction or validity in proof of achievement? True hunting should not gratify due to the act of killing because that is not what it should be about. It should be about acquiring and honing knowledge of wild animals and their habits and demonstrating competence at exploiting that knowledge more skillfully than prey even if only to yourself. It should be about developing skills in bush craft such as blending into an environment and tracking wild creatures while approaching them as close as reasonably practical yet remaining undetected by them. Awareness of any environment which is home to a species being hunted should be honed to such an extent that potential dangers like venomous or otherwise dangerous plants and creatures or other hazards like local weather and terrain can be avoided but not, by requiring clear cut tracks for easy, comfortable, convenient access in relative safety.
