So we have to clear many things: - inside cannoli we put whipped sweet ricotta (ricotta + sugar and a hint of lemon sometimes) - we don’t eat fig jam so often 😂 it depends on what u like - u basically tried all of the discount products (like focaccia and icecream) Here are some recommendations: - gocciole, baiocchi, nutella biscuits ( Italian biscuits ) - flauti, pangocciole, kinder pingui/fetta al latte/ paradiso (fridge snack) -> often dipped in milk - Kellogg’s cereal - rusks with berry jam and ricotta - mozzarella (cheese) - taralli (sticks of bread kind of) - stracciatella (cheese)

Loved to see you be so curious about Italian food! As an Italian, I basically never eat what you picked up, at least not that flavor or not from that shop, so it was interesting to see what you would think about it! Also, try focaccia from a “panetteria” which is basically a shop that only makes bread and variations of it (also pastries sometimes): it’s much better that supermarket one. The pastries too, try them from a “pasticceria”, they’re much better!

as an italian i can tell you that there is a serious war between lemon and peach estathe so i'm very happy that you chose my side!! also amarena is not cherry it's a similar fruit but amaro litteraly means bitter so it's not as sweet and (in my opinion) not as good

Biscuits must be eaten with milk, we have big packs cause that’s why we eat for breakfast (instead of cereals). You should try also San Carlo chips like and pepper 😍 Cannoli are filled with just ricotta and sugar, but store bought one usually have whipped cream, they are absolutely NOT the same 🥲

pan di stelle is a breakfast biscuit. dunk it in caffè al latter in the mornings... yum yum

Honestly, as an Italian myself, I think Estathè is too sweet for my tastebuds, I enjoy “natural tea” more, Pan di Stelle is childhood and you HAVE to enjoy them with milk cream, so whipped hot, foamy milk. Also, in the end, you got the “paste”, it is like a tray of sweet goods you get people when invited, or that you enjoy with friends at home or colleagues in the morning, next time I recommend the little cakes also made by Pan di Stelle, FENOMENAL.

Did you go to the river Arno? So nice view from there. I visited Firenze few years ago and out of the blue found out from the map, that the river has the same name as my dad :D I was looking if I could find a fridge magnet or anything, that would have the river pic and Arno written out on it as well, so I could take it to my dad, but could only find magnets with river picture, so bought that one. It was nice coincidence anyway :) I ate lots of olives when in Italy, they are a lot cheaper there than in my country. And I love their beer - Birra Menabrea - soo good :)
