Hi guys i am a student from kandy ... bad things about scammers is early covid season i speak with lot of tourists for improve my spoken english ability and to be friendy with them but now the things changed and i try to speak with them they refuse to speak bcz they think i am a scammer tooo .... early this i speak with norway child and i learned lot of things about thier country . And i also shared some informations about our country ... this is only one experience ... sad to say this ... I HATE SCAMMERS

Three trumps up for a great video! Your videos are great for future tourists, especially well sort out places to visit and educating on things to look out for. Relying on your self is the key doing research on visiting worth while places to have a good time and enjoy your self while visiting a new country. Some just focus on content creation, and produce fake videos. Great two choices for food and evening tiffin. Food looks so lovely. Best practice in any country I think, just avoid people, tuk tuk drivers (Sri Lanka) approaching you, right away without having any chit chat. Cause you don't want to find out how aggressive they are going to be. It's better just avoid them with a verbal NO and hand gesture NO.

I was born and raised in Kandy, left the country a year ago. Thanks for the great footage you mad explorers!! I'm missing everything about kandy! That bake house rice made me salivate.. I know better places to eat in kandy but even that dish have me mad nostalgia... When you're doing these videos, it's not just for future tourists but for srilankans too 😊❤️🙏🏼 I think the scam situation is worst in Kandy than anywhere else. Sorry u had to deal with that.. The further you get away from the main tourist destinations and to the actual locals, you will see the real country. Even in kandy you can meet soo many authentic people. The "oldest" store you went to are close family friends of ours, the store is called "Daswanis". That gentleman was a close friend of my dad's. Daswanis uncle, I love you, but you were famous for having expensive stuff! Lol but considering these scammers these days, his prices are so cheap and the stuff are good quality. I'm still looking around to find ur reaction to trying hoppers for the first time! It's so good! Also try string hoppers (they are both rice powder based, so doesn't bloat you like wheat flour). And also, Kiri bath (milk rice) is my fav and a must! Thanks for you support and great footage, lots of love. ❤️🙏🏼

Bake House Kandy Food is awesome, we come all the way from Colombo to eat there.Kalupol Pork is the best form of Sri lankan curry. The yellow colour in the rice comes from Safron. They have awesome steaks too.

We had many experiences with scammers around the world and it is so sad that people approach you with bad intentions 💔 now we are very carefull when someone is trying to chat to us. You will always have that feeling in a back of your head - what does he really want? Or what is he trying to sell? The yellow colour of the rice is usually from Tumeric. The unusual taste you are getting could be a combination of tumeric, cloves, cinnamon etc... Different places do this slightly differently and I've got to admit I've never been to this place... But I'll try it next time I'm in town 😃

Kandy is my home town and I remember it very fondly. Been away for over 50 years but still think of it as home. Kandy is nothing like I remember it being as it’s all changed. Glad to see you in my hometown. Here some few personal tips for future travelers to Kandy, so they don't have to rely on 'fake guides'; 1) Personally I love walking around the Kandy Lake during the afternoon (after 4pm). The views are breathtaking and cost you nothing. 2) Kandy View point also offer a breathtaking view of the whole city from a small hill. There is a stairway to this place from the Kandy Lake Round. use google maps and select 'walking'. The walk is also enjoyable. 3) Queens bakery and the Bake House are great choices, as you saw in this video. In addition, Delight, Soya Center, and Devon are also great places to have a snack. The Java lounge is a great tea/coffee place. But I can say most restaurants in Kandy are really good. So it's hard to go wrong. 4) Temple of the Tooth is a must go place. It's a very beautiful palace turned into a temple. I personally enjoy it from the outside and walk around the premises. 5) The central Kandy city is very walkable and there are lots of attractions within walking distance (including above mentioned ones). So no need to take a tuck tuck. If you want to go outside the central area you will need a tuck tuck or another type of transportation. I recommend using the 'Pick Me' app. It's the local equivalent to urber. It's cheaper and hassle free. Hope you'll enjoy lovey Kandy city

This is a good video. Because it is useful for many travelers to find out what is the best option when you travel around Sri Lanka. Of course I'm always worried about scammers. It is one of the main issues that people like you face. Even after that, Naomi said that she wanted to buy a sarong. I worry more about it. Because the clothes sellers charge more than the real price when the tourists come.

Also, keep in mind that exchanging money for high rates is totally illegal and still considered a scam, even if you get real money in return.
