Rạch Giá - Kiên Giang is one of the crowded cities in Western Region not because of the population here but the variety of food stores and the entertainment places.
Some food stores I have visited on this Rach Gia trip:
► Fighting-cock hot pot 1111: The hot pot soup is light sweet with a lot of mushrooms, chicken meat and greens, the salt chili is terrific. But it's a bit tough as they use fighting-cocks here.
Gmap coordinates 9.987820, 105.096465. It's located in a hamlet, so it's hard to find.
►Bánh bèo in Rach Gia style: Only 1.800 vnd /a cake
The salted cakes are quite delicious and chewy, the fish sauce tastes moderate, the cakes have special greasy taste.
The sweet cakes are more greasier, they remind me of pig skin cakes.

►In the evening, I enjoyed the sunset along the Kien Giang beach then went back to the city to eat fried Lụa 20.000vnd/ a portion. The Lụa (undulated surf clam) fried with spices, okras and basil leaves. It's also tasty when eating with bread (remember to tell the man here not to add fried garlic, it's not delicious).
►If you still feel hungry, there is a seafood store named Ngoc Hoa, at 415 Lam Quang Ky Street, for you to come and try herring fish delight salad, grilled scad fish or Vietnamese pan cakes, the price is really cheap, 35.000 to 80.000 vnd /a dish.

►P/s: In the morning, the fish noodles store in Mac Cuu street was still closed, so I came to a fish noodles store called Ut Oi for breakfast. But the soup here is too sweet that I don't like so I don't recommend here.
