It absolutely amazes me how creative and out of the box recipes Mandy comes up with every time. So much respect for her.

Oh, wow....Mandy is like a poetic philosopher in cooking! P.S. I’m trying to describe her “very different from the mainstream” cooking/baking ideas and techniques in english. I don’t know how to describe her better but that’s what I think. She is out there and I love it! And, I would eat anything she makes me (if I was ever to be invited and honoured to her dinner party or just dinner). Yummmerz!🤤

I absolutely love how Mandy explains what to do. The flavors sound amazing and surprising too. I wish I had the ingredients to try this scoop dumpling technique, but until then I’ll just say, “we need more Mandy!”

HI Mandy, I recently started to subscribe Food 52. I only saw two of your episodes. I really like your recipes. They are very unique. I will definitely try this recipe. Thank you. Where are you recording this from? Your kitchen is pretty interesting as well.

I’m a salt lover and would use BOTH salt and fish sauce if given the option

Hi Mandy, this looks so yummy. I was wondering can tapioca flour be replaced by some other flour? I cant get it where i live :(

surely mochiko, rice flour, arrowroot, and maybe even potato flour or cornstarch would work?? all are gelatinizing starches

Complete opposite energy from Lucas, who is fantastic. He actually sounds like he knows what he is doing and makes cooking seem enjoyable. Mandy is pure chaos, couldn't make it past 4 minutes.

Mandy is a unique chef and a very creative and interesting woman. The title of her wonderful book is "The Art of Escapism Cooking" (A survival story with intensely good flavors.) So, she often yells to get a point across. Her fans happily embrace the abuse.

While I was hooked by the thought of a savoury porky donut, the unnecessary length of the video combined with a less than professional workflow makes me not want to watch this. Try making the sauce before frying the donuts, form the filling all at once to streamline the process. Peas and Lovage

She walks you through every step of the recipe to make sure you understand it completely and explains every step and why it exists. I don’t see the problem.
