I can see how the owner's theatrics while scooping toppings is part of the charm that keep patrons coming back, aside from the delicious and wide selection of food. While the prices are not what we can consider as budget friendly, they are in line with prices in other mamak restaurants

I'd definitely frequent this kind of Mamak shop if there were one near me. We don't have Indian food like this. The different curries all ladled onto the rice and the many side items all look really good. This is why the food scene in Malaysia is so rich and vibrant.

one pc of Chicken , 1 prawn , 1 squid, half a salted duck egg, 3 pcs of Bendi , some fried bitter gourd =RM 27.50 ... i think its bit on the pricey side dont you think, I wonder how average Malaysia can cope with such pricing ..... anyway thanks for sharing

The price depends on what you order, different side dishes vary in price, and most people don't order as many side dishes as I do, because I order more for presentation, thanks for your comments 🙏

I would go for 1pc chicken, 1pc bendi and salted egg or bitter gourd for a complete meal. Getting prawn and squid only occasionally.

You gotta let them know you are a foreigner first, or they might show you a sour face thinking you're an uninformed local. Some eateries expect the world to know what they serve without displaying information. Then again, you could always do some homework beforehand though.

His personality and character is the main selling point i believe. Why he keep on selling "tu dia"? What is that mean? And how does that sambal nyior taste like? It seems that it is very spesial. No other kandar store has it

"Tu Dia" is a Malay word, which is a little difficult to translate literally, in this case (referring to the situation in the video) it can be used as a catchphrase or it can mean "great". Sambal Nyior is really spicy!

The biggest complaint I would have if you don't like/can't eat very spicy food HE'S USING THE SAME SPOON IN EVERYTHING!!! I know he needs to move quickly but no-one else can help with part of the serving except the new cooking that they just dump on the top so wouldn't want the bottom of the bowls later in the day.

6 gravies on handful of rice. Gravy dripping from the plate. Same spoon in all bowls. Looks like cold pre cooked dishes. Everything piled up. Absolute mess 😢
