If the plus size park hoppers live in Florida, going to Disney all the time isn't that expensive. I used to live within driving distance and I would go almost every weekend. The only thing that's really pricey is the food, but you can bring your own water and snacks if you don't want to buy anything. When I lived there, an annual pass for FL residents was about $400 and you could go to any park, 365 days a year for that much money. Plus I had a dining discount card that gave me something like 20% off food. And parking was free. My parents were Vacation Club Members, so if I did stay overnight, I would just use their points. I know none of that is technically "free," but when it's all already paid for, it feels like it's free.
