So here is the Tea. Kuwait changed rules on Visa hoppers and those speaking poorly against their culture and religion. My hubby’s brother has been on a 20+ year professional contract in Kuwait. He told my husband about this and she went radio silent just as Kuwaiti authorities disclosed they were dealing with those using social media to insult the republic. Kuwait doesn’t play. She got the boot. She’ll never admit it. But her rant against those nicely correcting her was the final straw. She’s been on the radar. They might not let her come back. And her constant kvetching and complaining on this trip?? She’s lucky they didn’t make her sit in jail for a month.

@@mcplestreet OK, while I have had an impressive traditional academic career with advanced degrees, don't load it over other people who couldn't afford to go to college or graduate or post graduate school. That does not make them less intelligent or worthy than you and when your plumbing or car fails you are desperate for someone who can fix things and treat you in an honest and respectful manner. Acknowledge that they have skills that you don't have, that took them years to learn, just like yours did.

i actually saw her at the airport for a brief second while running to my gate and people were staring at her, I wasn’t a 100% sure it was her but I do remember feeling pity for her bc she looked so out of breath and the Frankfurt airport is huge

Lol, so I grew up with a mother that is just like Chantal and ALR, and also high narcissistic and histrionic. Just like them! Definitely traumatic to grow up with. I love and forgive her for the trauma growing up. But as you can guess, I am all about health, fitness, personal responsibility and accountabiilty and practice holistic medicine. Thanks to her, I turned out to be polar opposite.

It could be. I'm confused whether she just said she signed a lease for an apartment or she is going to get an apartment in a month or so. But she does not seem sober so who knows? I am a small landlord. We ask for financial information, past referrals and do a credit check. This does not happen in a day or two. She needs to actually see the apartment as there can be many scams making things look better than they actually are in photos. You also have to be smart about the neighborhood and visit it yourself and check to see how close grocery stores and other amenities are. Yes, she has a car, but will she have close parking?

You don't have to fast while traveling. It's one of the exceptions. But she hasn't restarted the fast now that she' in Canada, so she has clearly just given up. I've never been to Kuwait, but I'd imagine that there aren't a lot of people there that look like her.

I grew up keeping kosher and today don’t eat pig products. Eating out is super easy. Vegetarian is easy to find. More items are marked Halal than Kosher. There are almost always fish or pure veg options everywhere. Even Burger King and Dunkin’ Donuts have impossible meat. She is lazy and incompetent.

Omg I get at least 10000 steps done on a "quiet" work day as a nursery teacher plus walking the dog once ( my partner does the other 2 walkies), on crazy days its up to 30.000 despite MS, she really couldnt move her gigantic azz to run for her life😂

So...Forget Ramadan, huh? I know Chantal doesn't like when people criticize how she practices her religion (insert eye roll), but it doesn't end just because she's not in Kuwait any more. I have heard from Muslim friends that you can stop fasting while you're traveling, but you're supposed to make up the time. (That's at least what I've been told. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.) I'd bet $1 million that she doesn't make up the time. Plus, we saw her eating and drinking in her car when the sun was still up, so she didn't take a break from the fast, she quit.

I am surprised she could fit in one seat. When I was about 300 pounds I was really crammed in a seat though I am 5'7". I actually did get a UTI after flying to Moscow, Russia on a flight with a lot of turbulation. It was horrible. She probably got those chips by justifying that she can finally get that food since she is on her home turf. I bet she gorges on foods that she can't get in Kuwait. I have lost a ton of weight over the last few years but I know the self talk and justifications people tell themselves. And I am a therapist.

Unpopular opinion, but I don't think people of Chantal's size should be able to fly. If there was an emergency and people needed to promptly evacuate, she'd be a hazard. It's part of why people with disabilities are assigned seats in the bulkhead aisle where they can be assisted and where others can get around them if necessary.

I wonder where you draw the line regarding restricting people like this? Would someone with a broken arm and leg also not be able to fly? How about someone who has dementia and is disoriented even with the help of an aid of some sort. There are many people and situations that could pose the same potential emergency restrictions you mentioned.

Idk I think fat people should be able to fly because there are good fat people out there that deserve to see their family overseas and go on honeymoons etc. BUT I do think they should have to pay for extra seats. Maybe not a weight limit because weight looks different on everyone but some sort of size test to see how many seats you take up or something. It's not fair to the person sitting next to fat person who is basically sitting on them. I think paying for extra seats is the best compromise for fat flying. And maybe the raise in price will encourage them to lose weight so their tickets cost less 😂

@@momomomo69 the point still stands that if you ban one type of person for that particular reason you'll have to ban them all because of that reason. Also being obese is a choice yes but it also is a disability imo 😂 Mental AND physical. Just look at Chantal. She struggles just walking and is literally addicted to food. Completely banning obese people from flying all together is ridiculous and actually discriminatory, fat people shouldn't be punished for being fat but other people shouldn't have to be uncomfortable because of that person being obese either. Airlines just need to implement a rule that makes obese people buy extra seats. (Editing to add that yes I know having an incurable disability is not the same as being obese but I do see obesity as a mental illness that causes physical illness. You don't get that fat if you are mentally sound)

I would ask for the vegetarian or kosher meals on the plane (and I am not kosher or moslem.) I never felt ill. I would choose the aisle seats if I could as I was anxious about needing to get up and go to the bathroom. Sometimes that was a really bad decision and the stewards and stewardeses would bang into me every time they went by with their carts and they never apologized (and I was not big.) I would rather get up for the other people in my row than feel trapped that I had to ask them to get up for me.

The aisle is more comfortable for tall people. I'm 6'5' and in the aisle I can at least stretch one leg and kinda stretch the other under the seat in front of me. The problem is when the person in front wants to sit back or I have to watch out for on coming traffic from the aisle.
