নিজের শৈশব থেকে আজ ষাট বছর বয়সে এসে আমার এই ব্যারাকপুর এর একেবারে আমূল পরিবর্তন চাক্ষুষ করেছি এবং করছি কিন্তু ঐ জলুয়া র দোকান দুভাগ হওয়া ছাড়া আর কিছুই পরিবর্তন হয়নি তবে খাবার এর মান আগের মত নেই। তবে স্টেশনের পূর্ব দিকে (৪ নং প্ল্যাটফর্ম এর দিকে) এক ই রকম পুরনো মিষ্টি র দোকানের (মন্টু র দোকান) কচুরি সিঙাড়া মিষ্টি ও লাল মিষ্টি দই অপূর্ব ও বিখ্যাত। আমার অন্নপ্রাশন, পৈতে, বিয়ে এবং আমার কন্যার অন্নপ্রাশন এর মিষ্টি এই দোকানে র ই এবং এই অভিজ্ঞতা আমার বয়সী বা তার বেশি বয়সী এখানকার অনেক বাসিন্দা র ই আছে। খুবই ভালো লাগল 👌🏼👍🏼❤🙏

Alliteration apart, Foodka's 8th foray into this erstwhile English cantonment in the northern fringes of the city is now on a tarmac of culinary calibration; for it's not always about the fabled 'Dada-Boudir Biriyani' den that has stood this B-town in good stead - but, we may have, for sure, some other grubs here to titilate our taste buds as well. This episode now punches in something more spicy than the grub itself: we finally end up having several bouts of ocular ecstacy at the expense of not just the heavenly dishes being gorged on by these two ravenously hungry mortals, but, the special appearance of a beauty with brains Swastika Mukherjee - this time around looking absolutely stunning and taking up the demeanour of a bluestocking of sort in graceful accompaniment with her 'de rigueur' pixie cut and the cat-eye glasses while having her bits of gambol.
