This story reminds me of an anecdote about Satoru Iwata, when Satoru took over as CEO of nintendo, he took the trouble to interview each of his employees one by one, asking them what they were doing, what problems they were having with the company, and so on. Proving in the end that CEOs who do this kind of thing really care about their employees.

My favorite Iwata story is when he hunkered down and helped the developers fix bugs before Smash Bros. Melee came out. He was already CEO by then, I think, and he was just sitting there coding alongside all the other regular employees.

Something great about JP work culture is that they are willing to appoint some game developer, engineers and or some top Marketing guy in leadership positions and to CEO. Modern Nintendo was built by gamers. Not some cost reduction and efficiency CEOs. Except for Nissan, (and or Toshiba) most of the biggest JP Corpo were built by dreamers.

it doesn't net big profits, which is why everyone and their mom went for the Nijisanji style of running a company instead heck, even Cover/Hololive shareholders wanted the company to be run like Niji

It does bring more profit just not short term which every greedy fuck on top is going for since they wouldn't care if the company goes under after they squeezed all the money they can into their pockets. Frankly, the way Yagoo handles the company is ideal and should be the norm for any company for proper long term. Unless a company has already a massive monopol like Google most other companies will die out or barely alive in years after the well dries out.

CEOs like Yagoo are rare; they currently thrive on tempering expectations for projects like HoloEarth, HoloPlus, Hololy & many other smaller projects. They do, however, bank on their talents having pleasant relationships with their CEO so that their fans continue to maintain high concurrent views on their livestreams as a, “yeah, these people deserve our clicks.” It’s a Ben & Jerry’s business model. Except that Ben & Jerry’s are owned by Unilever, and they like dead children just like Nestle.

Raora is based in Japan and she talked about going to Cover, giving her own hand drawn art to Yagoo personally. I guess its part of the training to go to Japan? They also recorded the starting voice packs in English & Japanese (purchasable on Cover website/ I GOT LIZ & RAORA). I think they recorded the group song there too? But yeah, clips talking about them going around tokyo in a kimono, singing karaoke, etc etc. Fun stuff

@@OnizukaGTO wow didnt know raora was based in Japan. Was that mentioned anywhere? To add to the "justice in Japan" thing, I kinda had a feeling when keenbiscuit made comics of them hanging out. Made sense for them to be in japan as well considering we know how much hololive invests in their talents. That much is a small price for hololive to ensure the talents get well acquainted with each other ad well

To temper everyone’s expectations of Hololive, I have strong criticisms of Hololive English management, especially with how they treat Amelia and Kronii. Both talents had complained of asking for game permissions that ages to respond. And I’m not cool with how late their response was with some of Promise’s talents’ outfit reveal marketing on social media. A likable CEO is a plus: the whole crew must run the ship called Cover Corp with the right passion if they want to continue retaining fan/customer loyalty. It is as if they’re working on a Ben & Jerry’s business model but operates on Unilever’s principles of murdering children for profits (like Nestle).

Stop spreading slander, you don't know what's happening behind the scenes, you don't know how hard it is to get a game perms, you don't know how hard it is to track what games to get perms for, you don't know how long it took to get an answer for a game perm, you don't know how many paperwork those people behind the scenes to get those game perms do.
