He may not make every pass, but eventually the volume will break the lock. This is why Pep gives his number 8's extremely limited defensive responsibility, so they can focus their energy on exploiting space.

This was really good. The pace was right, the ideas helpful. Most useful? Probably internalising the right time to switch. I play CB/LB and you're right, if I can see 8 players in front of me that means there aren't many on the other side.

where would you go if not into space? and there are also more than 1 possible options available (for passing and open space), so which one to choose? and how to choose it? these seem to be more interesting to me. Because in the heat of the game, it's hard to think in 1-2-3 steps, it's too fast to process it that way.
