One of the funniest moments I had with FM was actually fairly recent, back in FM 21, I started a save with Werder Bremen (loved their team as a child in the 2000s), according to some pre-season rankings, we were expected to get relegated that year, yet somehow I managed to get them to fourth place and Champions League football for the next season, mainly due to the defense (apparently we conceded the fewest goals in Bundesliga history and Pavlenka also broke the record for the most games with clean sheets), thanks to this achievement, I was able to convince James Rodriguez to join us from Real Madrid, but it took him at least five or six tries to pass the medical test, and once he arrived, he got injured in his debut, missed the first half of the season and the club fired me for my terrible start at the league and missing the Champions League knockout stages hahah, I fucking love this game to death

On my current save I signed 2 regens and had a guy come through the academy, the 2 I bought for a combined £3m. Within 3-4 years I could easily get 100-150m EACH of the three players, plus a guy I signed from Barca’s youth academy for £3m who has 5 star potential and 70 career goals at 18 YEARS OLD for Barca B. I’m already 12 years deep but I’d happily go another 15 just to see the best 4 players of all time develop together, especially as they all can play in a 4231 together at the same time.

Jeff Stott was the best regen I ever had, he came through the youth academy at Carlisle United at a time when we were at the bottom of the National League (I'd left Bayern after ten years to save Carlisle because we had somehow dropped down to the Vanarama National League North). He saved us from relegation from the National League (I got us promoted from the Vanarama National League North), he scored 42 goals that season. He ended up winning everything you can possibly win after we got promoted into the Premier League and won the Premier League within four seasons in the Premier League (and we also won the Champions League). By the end of his career he was a club legend with 738 league goals in 1000+ games and had 3 ballon d'Ors. What an absolute legend he was.

I grew up on Career Mode since like fifa 09, played it extensively every year. Had delved into FM before but didn't really like it, but when FM22 was free on epic games last year I tried it and realised how much it DOMINATES career mode in terms of features and overall quality. The one time I played CM this year, I hated it and haven't touched it since October which is a first for me, whereas I've been addicted to my Leyton Orient save since like August. It's such a fun game!

Goncalo Manuel, what a regen he was in my FM22 save. Portuguese winger/central midfielder. I signed him for Stirling Albion in the Scottish Championship from Glentoran in season 3. Kept him for 2 seasons then sold him to Celtic for £1m. Loaned him back for the next 3 years before he moved to Chelsea for £60m (I saw none of that money because he was a Celtic player). I then bought him back off Chelsea 2 years after he joined for £35m. I never wanted to let him go and it was a fairytale ending when he lifted the Champions League in his return season. Thats why I love FM. My local team creating legends!

When I was a kid playing FM09, I took control over Real Madrid and bought the aging Norwegian striker ''Steffen Iversen'' from Rosenborg just because I liked him. I had no grasp of which players were good and which were not, since I couldn't really gage the difference between the Norwegian league and La Liga. Regardless, he ended up scoring an overhead kick in the first game I played, so for me he's always gonna be a legend.

I'm currently playing as Sunderland in FM 15, and am about to say goodbye to my captain Shaun Kotcharian, A goalie that I signed from the Belgian league for 1.4 million 12 seasons ago. Guy should reach 500 appearances for the club by the time the season is over, and he has 104 caps for his national team as well. I would have loved for him to retire here, but at the age of 34 he wants to go finish his career back in Armenia in front of his people. It's a shame, because he is having the best season of his life. We're 27 games into the league and have only conceded 10 goals. Oh well. Will try to win the man his 4th Champions league on his way out.

I rejected and got him a new contract... Then he scored 43 goals in 36 premier league games and had 14 assists in all competition. Jim Stewart - I created a custom team in the national south and lost my striker to knee injury 10 or so games into the season. Got him on loan from FC Dallas minor league team. He ended up leading the league in goals and staying with the team. As we moved up I kept thinking he was tapped out and I’d end up having to replace him, but he just kept improving with the team. He was the only man left standing when I got to the premier. He was my second guy in a 2 striker set, but still, he went from emergency filler for a semi-pro club to starting forward on a premier champ. It was awesome. I got attached and I was legitimately sad when he retired lol.

Top assister both seasons, scored winning goal in this seasons cup final, got a hat trick against Red Star in UCL qualifying and his stats have grown outrageously, he idolises me and just singed a four year deal. Still has five star potential despite his growth, could very well take us all the way to winning the UCL if we have the right people around him. Late to the party but the best Re-gen story I had was whilst at Spurs. Had a young LB in the youth team named Hayden Bannister, that I gave his debut too. Over 3 years he became a star player, club captain and even a regular for the England team. Voted into the team of the season during the season we under preformed All whilst being on 5'2. When I left (sacked) and joined VFL Bochum in Germany he was the first player I signed. Instant starter. I was listed as his only favourite staff member. Then he broke my heart by kicking up a fuss because Atletico Madrid came in for him and he wanted CL football. He left and of the six games they played before finishing 3rd he played something like 2. We won the Europa League.

Game ends 1-1 and Bouchez writes his name in standard liege folklore. I’ve got so many stories from that standard liege save. I might just have to re-download FM21 to have a look back. Current FM Mobile save… journeyman save, start from unemployed, grinded my way to coach Nice to dethrone PSG of the French title in 2028, thanks to my starboy striker Marcel van Lieshout. After doing the unthinkable of winning the French league, Milan offered me, so I had to bite. Took van Lieshout with me and after 2 consecutive invincible title wins, roughly 180 league goals across 5 seasons later, van Lieshout and myself are AC Milan legends, in the Italian football hall of fame… I love FM so much

I never played FM until right at the start of the pandemic, I used to see people play it at uni but never got the hype till I played it completely fell in love with the game and can never play FIFA career mode again, it’s amazing that I can take a small team create my own formation and discover hidden gems and take said team to glory. The best player I ever found was Alione Ndour was a unwanted striker not playing for his team came to me averaged 50 goals a season for 10 years and won countless African player of the year awards as I took Estrela Amadora in Portugal from the second league to multiple league titles and champions league titles

My most fun saves - FM07, if some remember, heading/jumping/strength was overpowered. I had regen from Peru, playing as Real Madrid and every year i scored 30+ goals. I think it was FM18, when winning with Estonian national team World Cup on first try and winning with FC Flora multiple titles.

My favorite newgen was the star of my first intake from my first save ever (Lyon FM21), Timonia Tau from Tahiti. Basically Tahitian Tchouameni with Pirlo passing (20 passing 20 vision 18 flair). Started from age 17 to 38 and had over 700 league matches. I’m watching while trying to win the Asian Champions League with an Indonesian team, and we just lost in the semis. Got a tycoon takeover year three and love being Indonesian PSG

I was manager of Atalanta over in Serie A on FM20. I had worked my way there over the last 10 seasons via Cambridge and Sheff Wednesday. Took over with the club in 10th and within 3 years we were title challengers, losing on the final day in a title-decider against Juventus. But we kept going, playing the most expansive and fluid 4-2-4 formation with overlapping wing backs. Two more 2nd places would follow, and then, finally, we got it done on the third attempt. Was almost setting flares off in my room. Have followed the team on social media ever since... magical.

In fm23 I Started a new save with Real Sociedad. Nurtured Umar Sadiq who I thought stats wise was the best striker on the team (irl he's their second or 3rd choice striker) 1 season later and a UCL qualification in the bag, my boy Sadiq bagged 49 goals that season. 36 league goals in 36 games. Won golden boot, most goals in Europe and won African Footballer of the year. I now have a deep emotional connection to a random Nigerian striker playing in Spain thousands of kms away. FM is goated.

I remember on Champ Manager 97, there was a player called Ibrahima Bakayoko, absolute monster in the game, especially when paired up to with none other than Emile Heskey...Bakayoko and Heskey would get you 70 goals a season in a good season... But irl, Everton signed Bakayoko on account of his CM 97 stats, but he absolutely choked when he got to Goodison

I'm probably a bit older than the average viewer of this channel. I first played LMA manager 2001 on playstation, when my mates convinced me to get a pc. I discovered cm3 (02-03) and have played the game yearly, sometimes upgrading my hardware purely so I can load more leagues. Probably my best save was winning the Champions league 3x in a row on fm20 Aberdeen with regen CB Willie Little captaining the team for the 3rd champions league win

My best regen was Gérard Armand, a Frenchman. I signed him from Etoile Aussonnaise (Amateur French club) for free when I was manager of then Serie C club Virtus Verona. Loaned him out to Volos for our promotion season, then he had a combined 50 goal involvements over 2 seasons as we got promoted to Serie A. In his first season in Serie A (he was 20, by the way), he scored 15 goals and had 16 assists as we finished seventh. After that year we sold him to Real Madrid for £75 million. He went on to win the Ballon d'Or four times, the Champions League twice, the Nations League twice, the Euros (+ Golden Boot & Player of the Tournament) once and the World Cup once. In his final season before retirement, my Ingolstadt team faced off against his Real Madrid side in a Champions League Quarterfinal which Madrid won 3-2 on aggregate and in which Gérard provided an assist. They would go on to lose the final 1-0 to Atlético Madrid. In his prime, the game valued him at £145 million.

Remember going into town on my lunchbreak in Burnley and picking up the latest instatements every year of various management games (And Pro Evo) Good times. Jfp was goated. As for manager games, I remember when championship manager had a separate cd for each league and there were only three or four leagues. My favourite lower league teams are bath city and union Coimbra, both of which I won the champions League after 12 years. But my most iconic championship manager seasons were in cm 2000, taking Chelsea to win the quad after 4 seasons, buying a 20k £ striker from the non league called Dale Watkins. He bagged 155 goals in 4 seasons...

Marcus Gadoye - An incredible defender I signed for £2000 as League 2 Stockport County in FM08, I say defender but for the next 6 years he was my top goalscorer with at least 20 goals every single season mainly due to his heading ability from corners, coupled with his composure, a pretty high finishing ability and most strangely his 18 free kick taking. He ended up staying with me and the club for the 15 seasons, had a tesitmonial, won FA Cups, League Cups, Champions Leagues and Premier Leagues...retired as a played, became my assistant manager and then when I finally left the club he took over as the manager and was never sacked. Absolutely beautiful stuff, he was weirdly from Turks and Caicos Islands as well, won well over 100 caps with them and I'm pretty sure won like 3 of them games. As for 'real life' events one day I went to watch Stockport County (my team) in real life absolutely convinced we were playing Grimsby Town, absolutely CONVINCED, right up to getting in the stadium and noticing the Torquay United badge, why did I have the wrong team? Because Grimsby were my next game on FM.

I used to play Fifa. However, I’m a Nintendo player so you most likely know how they’ve been doing us over here , year after year, LEGACY! 😤 lol. I picked up FM about two years ago. Never looked back at Fifa ever again. It really is an addicting game. There’s been times where it’s passed midnight and all of a sudden I’m reminded that I forgot to send my scouts out, or that my injured player is still under HEAVY training 😅 And then the sun is up and I realize that I busted an all nighter , AGAIN!

My biggest achievement in FM was winning the UCL final with Deportivo La Coruna, after getting back to back to back promotions. We didn't qualify for the UCL that year through the league so we had to win the competition. My starting keeper was on loan from the team we beat in the final and was also the team that topped our group.

Yes i am playing the Birmingham save right now. Played FM in 2009 for while, PES was my game at that time so i stopped. Dabbled a lil in 2014 and came back in 2020. My greatest save is probably Sochaux from last year. The war i had against PSG a literal God Squad (to the point they bought Saka for 110 just for him to be the LB) in L1 and UCL (beat them in the final twice in a row) were legendary. Favourite real life player since my return? Maxime Lopez from Sassuolo. This magician carried me through minimum 3 saves and the name "French Pirlo" is not an overexaggeration. Favourite Regen? Edson. Portuguese wonderkid, the Eusebio of 2020s.

18:10 Yes 😂 overall I agree with a lot of ur points, from learning tactics to more realistic transfers to forming special bonds with teams/players you’ve never knew existed, for example a team in South Korea I support in the 2nd division called Anyang bc of a player that I found and brought into my team eventually winning the WC when all of the big nations crashed out early and that one player was the one to score a hat trick.
