He is certainly a great. Between he and Messi, there is little between them in terms of statistics but there is a big difference in what they bring to a team. Messi needs the right players around him but with them he brings borderline superhuman close ball control, balance, pace and precision with all of his shots, runs and passes that mesmerises both defenders and spectators. Ronaldo brings an unparalleled goal threat from anywhere in the final third with either foot or his head, regardless of teammates as long as they provide service. He's not as mesmerising but he's just as effective with his combination of pace, precision, power, and timing. Ronaldo also brings a determination and an unrelenting drive to improve both himself and his team that is unmatched by anyone else I have ever seen. Who is better? That comes down to the individual, I wouldn't say Messi is definitively better but I will say I find Messi more enjoyable to watch. Ronaldo is undoubtedly a great.

A player can become a football legend for many reasons.... not just because of ball skills. Players like Messi, Zidane, Brazilian Ronaldo, Ronaldinho were born with natural football talents. Cristiano Ronaldo did not have the same level of talent, but his gift was sheer determination. He WILL NOT STOP until he is the best at any task... He is a legend not because of stepovers, or ball control. He is a legend because dedicated his LIFE to becoming the best player he can be. He dedicated his body to becoming the best athlete he can be.... That is why today at 34 years old he is still running around and scoring insane goals, while many other players retire. When Ronaldo eventually does retire, whatever he choses for the future he will no doubt be the BEST at that too. He is a complete role model for anybody who wants to achieve a goal in life....Ronaldo is one of lifes WINNERS and he influences the entire team to be the winner......Look at Real Madrid fall appart when Cristiano left.... No amount of stepovers or ball control can replace a player who carries the team.

@Ziyan Faheem greatness by definition bro simple.. and better statistically... you will see Ronaldo fits the definition of greatness perfectly. The farther you dig ...and well messi is better statistically...as much as it pains me to admit that.. but its makes sense why you hear people say let's just enjoy both of them. Or dont compare..them.. personally I feel like it comes from messi fans more often because why the hell would ronaldo fans say something like that..after every thing up to date. There are some but more or so you'll hear it from messi fans.. pundits.. its because one of them is greater and one of them is better... they both deserve a title you cant take anything from them.. it's only fair.. no body has to like it either. The you start to look at the moments where ronaldo came back being down 4-1 tied it up 5-5 no one expected that.. that's something a goat is made of.. or when Ronaldo scored hatrick against wolfsburg..especially when he said he was going to score a hatrick against athletico madrid the best defensive team in the world and did just that silencing them all haters. That's what the goat does.. my favorite example would probably be when messi took photo shoot world cup 2018 with a baby goat.. and Ronaldo responded with hatrick vs spain celebrating showing off his GOATEE. absolute GOAT MOMENT. Messi confirmed it the next day missing a penalty against weak Iceland...(which messi fans complain ronaldo scores only against weak teams and messi failed from the spot.) Its amazing for things to play out the way they did.. any way then you look at messi when he retired early.. that's complete opposite of the goat.. or when he promised the ucl to the camp Nou.. he failed and he wanted to leave.moments like these people easily ignore but they sure do help and clearly separate the 2 when defying the goat... ronaldo is known for silencing his haters. THE GOAT FT. But then statistically messi dribbles and chances created less games played assists.. say he is a better player.. I used to ridicule the stats until I finally figured out one is better one is greater. They both deserve a title each.. it just doesnt makes sense to give one both better and goat title....cant take anything from these players. And success is part of greatness. Messsi has failed time and time with Argentina even from the spot.... ITS PRETTY AMAZING LOOKING AT THERE WHOLE CAREERS THE STORYLINE.. ITS ALL POINTS TO 1 IS BETTER AND 1 IS GREATER. Mano Topalian No thats not a fact, thats also your opinion. Messi is a better footballer than ronaldo. Goals arent everything my friend. Messi does a lot more for his team. Ronaldo is a pure goal scorer. But i dont want to discuss about that. For me and many other messi is the GOAT. For you and many other ronaldo is the GOAT.
