I think lots of people would just walk past nobody feels safe enough to interact with strangers in today's society. You never know what peoples intentions are. To some people, kicking a soccer ball towards them could be a distraction for a bigger plot. Id expect that kind of reaction

This happened to me last week, kids playing football, the ball ended up in front of me. I had a flash back of my childhood where my ball rolled in front of a man walking down the street. He did a basic trick, kicking it with his off foot as he slipped over it, and it rolled to my feet. I copied this, and had the same result. Made me smile.

Is it really being cautious? Doesn't seemed that. Also, it's a football that is being passed to them in a crowded place like mall. What will it contain explosives that they are being so cautious about? It's shows hope they are in a state of mind that is prevent them to interact with someone by kicking a football. It's brings out the psychological state of mind of people in that area. These kinds of activities are great to test peoples state of mind.
