Cool concept Pingu, just a thought that as a bonus for being bang on with the answer, you can take the number off the final score(example for Antony instead of 0 it would be -78)

@@LukePinguOfc there cld be a “handicap” depending on who the guest is… If it’s someone like Andy(AJ3), you can give him players that he’s more familiar with, E.g Everton Past& Present Players. If it’s someone like Tom, maybe make him pick 3 out of the possible clubs a footballer has played for, and Luke will have to pick 1 club for him, to choose the amount of games the footballer has played!!

I think maybe you could add some additional rules like 2x scores and 1/2x scores. So if you think the person will be far away with their guess, you can play a 2x score for that guess. And if you think that your guess will be far away, you can use 1/2x score for that guess. You could get one of each per game, and maybe an additional one for getting a 0 score.

Good stuff. For the other guests try 3 life lines. 1) you can pick the club the player played for 2) you can get a time line of the length of time spent at a club 3) maybe for the forwards their number of goals and assists?

Love this! Agree with the others in terms of it making more sense to use percentages as opposed to true numbers. Super quick to calculate with spreadsheets too. I'd honestly consider making it a 5-a-side game? I know the vids would be shorter but I can see some regular guests struggling with this for 11 turns. You could ask them to make their favourite 5-a-side teams but each player has to be from a different league/country? Give future guests a "banned list" of previous players

Really enjoyed that! I feel like other creators would have a chance if the players were more modern. I spent about 30 mins trying to work out De Roon’s player face, as I completely forgot about him. Good stuff. 👊

I think it would be fun to add more stat categories! Goals for a certain club, assists, clean sheets? u could even do yellows and reds for players like Ramos, Pepe etc just to add more besides appearances! Love the content nevertheless

Great idea i think to give people more of a chance maybe do things like goals, assists and cleansheets at one club or maybe do something along the lines of tournaments just to make it more interesting especially for the goalkeepers

Great idea, really interesting. Your other guests might struggle. Anyway, idk if this will hurt the strategic side of things, but maybe decide the club beforehand. So that way both of you can decide whether you wanna target the teams that you know really well early or leave it out really late

Maybe you could work with percentages off instead of actual games off. Than small stints can also be used otherwise they won't make much sense as a choice because even if you are way off then it's still a relatively small score compared to the big ones.

Hey luke, great video mate, only issue i found is when choosing the club its never worth going somewhere they had a short stint or loan because a wrong guess will always be closer to the right answer (Example if you choose messi its much better to say barcelona instead of PSG because you could be relatively close and still be 50-60 off with such a huge career there)

i think once the answers got over 150 games differential with the actual answer you should punish that and add 200 or something even bigger to the score, and if it's on point the opponent also receive 25 score

I think it’s a fair playing field, considering that appearances aren’t really thing people would remember as much unlike goals or trophies won. Would be interesting to see how Fiago would do at this.

Maybe do percentage difference instead of just games. If you get someone with like 2 or 3 seasons it is almost impossible to mess up more than 50 while with Carzola being within 50 would have been a good guess

Maybe you should do it by percentages rather than pure offset values. For example. If X has played 1000 games for a club and I guess 800, I should get a 20 added to my score since it's off by 20%. And I'll tell you why. Do you think guessing 800 when he's played 1000 is a worse guess than guessing 200 when the player only has played 3 games for the club? As per current rule, guess 1 will have a score of 200 and guess 2 will have a score of 197, which makes it seem like a closer guess than it is, when in fact it's a horrendous guess

Thought about the same but then things like saying he played 15 when he actually played 25 (could be on loan so not that far and not easy to guess) would bring an insane percentage => 40% off

I like the new concept! To help the competition, why don't you get the defending team to pick a stat such as yellow cards or goals etc and the attacking team to pick the player and guess the amount. After a few picks it could be quite strategic. Hopefully that makes sense. Just an idea 👍🏼

Recommendation: there is imbalance to the game because some players have potentially played 20 games for a club and some players have played 300 i.e. The maximum you can lose by is so different. Potentially you need to agree on a maximum and minimum number of caps between all players
