With Mbappe not wanting to the play the striker role (or number 9), i agree that the plan for next season is to have a rotational squad (where they all switch positions like Leverkusen) and rather than sticking in position they move around swapping positions and roles

This is very similar to Real Madrid. That period from 2003 to 2013 RM struggled with major honours and Barcelona being great. But that galactico period with the biggest names in football is what set the foundations for their success from 2014 and onwards. Financially they were great because of their commercial power and the players were tempted to join because of the great players that were there at that period. Not saying PSG will replicate this success but I do believe this period will be beneficial for the future

I think what allowed Real Madrid to evolve is that they tried the Galactico model, realized that it does not work and thus they built a balanced team instead. PSG decided to repeat Madrids errors, but they are yet to repeat their growth; I doubt they will be able to humble themselves with all that Arab money mentality behind

PSG were a world class DM away from a CL. They decided to repeat Madrid's mistake of neglecting that position. Look at City, Madrid, Arsenal - they are some of the best attacking teams because they are enabled by a proper DM in Rodri, Tchouameni or Rice. Look at teams lacking a proper DM: Barca after Busquets, Tuchel crying for one at Bayern. I genuinely believe they were one world class DM away from success.

I think there are only 3 possible favourites for the next season's UCL winner: Real Madrid (of course, with this ultimate team), Manchester City (as long as they didn't commit 115 charges and were still peak with the current squad), and Bayer Leverkusen (they had a big chance to win the Invincible Treble with Xabi Alonso). Real Madrid vs Bayer Leverkusen would be an epic one. That can be even happened in the Super Cup.

After the prem ends tomorrow, I think it'd be really cool if you covered the prem (alone) entirely. Some great storylines, some brilliant matches, underdog stories, disappointing results for some teams, exciting title race down to the wire (again). In my opinion, the best premier league season there's been for a long time and definitely deserves to be appreciated

Football and its twists and turns are sure to humble anybody who thinks that they can conceive or imagine would more intriguing than reality. I say that as someone who never imagined that Mbappé could join a Real Madrid squad with a Balon D'Or winning Vinicius Jr. If this happens, well then I guess the entire Mbappé saga was absolutely worth it.

To most Real Madrid fans, this move is the anti-climax of long and tedious story. At this very point in our club, the move benefits him far more than us. It saves his career, while we would usually pursue a player of this calibre to save the club. To worsen all that is the inevitable additional friction of egos that Don Carlo and his staff will have to manage.

@@ninanano No, I won't. On my Twitter, I've already submitted my prediction that he will be the next Hazard (a flop that I predicted accurately as soon as the rumours linked him to the Bernabeu). The only condition barring this is that he undergoes intensive drills and training to drastically change his style of football Personally, I don't want him at Real Madrid. I wouldn't sign him at this time if I was in charge.

He will only be a striker on paper, in reality it will be a very fluid system with players like Jude and Rodrygo occupying the striker position while Mbappe floats into any space he wants.
