I have the normal lebron 21s and they’re literally the best shoe I’ve ever hooped in, traction is incredible and I play on dusty courts. I’m a big guard that puts a lot of force into the shoes and lots of fast powerful footwork

You’re the first on youtube talking about the difference between outsoles based on their color, I’ve been adressing that point to many youtubers talking about my experience in… table tennis ! fact is: the chinese national team uses the black version of the DHS Hurricane III rubber on their rackets on the forehand side because it has more grip, more tackiness than the red version. In the dying + vulcanization process pigments play a huge part. Thanks for confirming my thought !

This is why i like this channel, most reviewers will tell you that both versions feel the same but you broke down the differences with visual proof. Its one thing to claim they feel different but you broke down why they feel different and i appreciate that.

When you've got dozens, if not hundreds of shoe reviewers in the internet, you have to have something unique to offer. And that's what's great about this channel: 1. He's a foot doctor. 2. He goes into the technical details of a shoe. 3. He puts a score in the review. I personally prefer a quantifiable justification of what's good in a product I'm getting. At the end of the day, it will be subjective, but it's a really good guide for those who want to make the most out of their hard earned money.

The 21 reimagined are incredibly tight around the toes. My right pinky toe takes so much punishment even after a short time wearing them. Wish I would have gone at least a .5 size up. The og 21’s are perfect fitting at TTS. What a big issue this is though…

i have both pairs. i perfer the lite version, the leather is a bit stiff and my ankle feels weird in the old ones. the new ones feel a bit better but overall they are basiclly the same

4:51 I can confirm that the gameday pro helped me break these in after 3/4 hours. Horrendous cramping for the first 2/3 hours and then just amazing, no pinching from the uppers at all even on the revised design

The uppers of these look better, but they are so uncomfortable compared to the initial release of the 21 (I know I'm just parroting Zach). When the Leather or suede breaks in on the original, it conforms and hugs your foot. One of the best feeling shoes. There is no breaking in the plastic feeling caging of the updated version. If you have a high arch, absolutely forget about it. It'll feel like you've put your foot into a colorful prison, and actually the bounce from the zoom units pushes your foot into the uppers more whenever you jump. My feet have never felt so bad after trying to break these in.

The OG 21s are hard enough to break in, even going up 1/2 size. The length & width are OK, but low forefoot height is crushing my big toes. If the new 21s are even stiffer, they're a hard pass for me. Shoes shouldn't be such a hassle, and Nikes tend to fit me the worst. NB's Two Wxy V3 & V4 fit me much better in the same size.

The 21s feels too heavy on my foot (I know it’s just slightly heavier in weight) , 20s are way better, I think the tongue and laces are the problem and they hurt my feet.

Man I’ve played a few games in the updated Lebron 21 “optimism” and they are STIFF!! I wish I had this when I first purchased. Don’t feel like I get much foot flex. I also wear vivo barefoot shoes most of my other days so for the stiffness I’d pass

In the Philippines, as a child, I played basketball in flip flops a lot on the streets because I could not afford any basketball shoes. Now I’m in my 40’s, I have lots of knee and foot pain. Could playing in flip flops as a child and in my teens have contributed to that?

You do realize it only costs these companies like $20 to make these shoes? It’s not like they’re super valuable…they just add $100-180 to the price tag for marketing and profit purposes. It’s just rubber and foam.

The sneakers could go for 5 bucks and I’d still be like „damn those were a good pair of sneakers“bc i‘m a sneakerhead through and through and i was taught to not be wasteful with living essentials etc. That’s why i said it’s interesting but „my heart bleeds“.

Not true. I played in Puma, flat as hell and cushion ain’t as good. New balance is thick and the lack of wide versions really sucks. I tried Lebron and the insole is automatically curved to your feet! Airzoom is protective but you still feel the ground. Puma actually hurt my feet because it’s flat. Adidas has terrible insoles and cushion is not as soft as Nike.

Hey Doctor Zach! Question, I know the video is about the new version of the LeBrons 21, I have the original version. The thing is, I’ve had a little bit of pain on both feet where the first eyelid is at. ¿Is there any way I could get rid of the pain while still using them? I think it’s due to the metal eyelids. Yeah a few- i usually use an apollo space capsule shaped adhesive pad on the inside but I also will have a video on this coming soonish with some products made specifically for this releasing soon
