Monroe has said that CARTER Stanley was his favorite lead singer that worked with him. Ralph Stanley’s favorite Monroe lead singers were Peter Rowan, Jimmy Martin and Edd Mayfield. Ralph thought that any of these three suited Monroe better than CARTER did.
