I would say you should ask Portsmouth fans what they think about Southampton & Southampton fans what they think about Southampton that would be a good one or Willwall fans what they think about West Ham & West Ham fans what they think about Millwall that would make good content for the channel. I think Hearts greatest achievements are the 4 League Championships they have won in there history if you want to go as far back as far as 1960. I would say The Edinburgh derby is buy far the second biggest in Scotland buy a billion miles in terms of hostility second only to The Glasgow derby it's a game I always try & watch if possible. I would say the Edinburgh derby is simmler in size ,& importance to Portsmouth V Southampton Or Plymouth Argyle v Exeter City it's geographically important but it's not s derby that reaches out globally it's not the Argentine Super Clasico it's not that big but it's big in terms of Scttish club football. Having watched this video (as a Hearts supporter) I would just like to say that everyone of the Hibs supporters that spoke to you were genuine, honest and respectful in there answers. I take my hat off to all of them. Well done all of you. Great rivalry and massive respect from both sets of fans!

Being from Germany, I can say that two Scottish derbies are well known in Germany.. one's obviously the old firm, the other one is Hibs vs Hearts.. my personal guess is, that the movie Trainspotting, where Renton wears his Hibs jersey, contributed heavily to Hibs (and with it, the derby) becoming known much better internationally, because everbody wanted that shirt 👕😄

AYR V KILMARNOCK in books Rentons Dad is a Killie fan another big derby in Scotland even allthough Ayr are a league below them St Mirren Morton Renfrewshire derby Dunfermline Raith Rovers the Fife derby also good ones😅

@@ezo2161 Leider erkennen hierzulande nicht sehr viele die verborgene Schönheit des schottischen Fußballs.. Ich bin seit über 30 Jahren Dumbarton-Fan, kenne aber auch keine weiteren und hab's auch leider bis heute noch nicht nach Schottland geschafft.. vielleicht im nächsten Jahr.. wie kommst du auf die Hibs ? Würde mich echt interessieren..

Spent some time in Edinburgh in the late 90's and had a season ticket at Hearts. My favourite moment was when John "Yogi" Hughes played in his last Edinburgh derby before retiring. He was having songs sung about him all game about being on the dole but when he was subbed towards the end he received a standing ovation from the Hearts fans. There is rivalry between the two teams but when it comes down to it both of them are classy outfits, with a grudging respect for each other...I don't think you can say that about every rivalry in Scotland. I would add that as a Sassenach living in Auld Reekie, despite following Hearts (because it was the nearest team to where I lived and no other reason) most of my friends who liked footy were Hibees.

That was really good. I love your interviews with the fans young middle aged and older and this one is really special due to the history and rivalry between Hibs and Hearts. As a liverpool fan can I just say I absolutely love the Edinburgh derby it's so good and the passion between the teams is insane I don't go for either team but just enjoy watching it because you can see how much it means to both set of fans....if more people knew about this derby it might get the recognition it deserves...great derby and respect to both clubs and its fans and to you for making these videos representing the clubs and putting it out there.....great channel 10/10

love the banter between the fans went between both grounds attending games through the sixties with my dad who was Hibs daft so I have a healthy respect for hearts and their supporters but like nothing better than beating them the way their fans rallied round the club when they were in bother was awesome bigger than any result on the park in my opinion

Couple of them were far too nice 🤣 if I'm honest I think the reason the derby is so big for me is the competitive spirit of it. It's probably greater than most derbies in that sense. 2 footers flying in left right and center, constant fights, it's always a right scrap. Also unlike the ugly sisters in the west we'll all have quite a few mates that are hearts fans, which obviously makes the banter around these games top notch. It's a brilliant derby

Definitely one of the biggest in world football. I’m a Hearts fan and was at the 2-2 draw this year. The passion of the Hobo fans in that game and celebrations at Easter Road last week when the puddle drinkers scored a late winner, wow, other derbies match the passion but nothing out does it.

I am a Hearts man, yet I went to watch Hibs when they were in Europe back in the 70/80s Jim O'Rourke, Pat Stanton era! Hibs were a good team then! I am a Hearts man, but always wanting Hibs to do well, apart from when Hearts play them! Football is a sport, no malice should ever show its head!

Honestly as a Hibby who grew up in the West of Edinburgh (aka Jambo country) I think most Hibs and Hearts fans have a weird tolerance of each other. Until the Derby comes round. But you could go into any bar with a colour on and there might be jovial ribbing but at the end of the day we are all fans of football. And over the years I’ve had and still have many Jambo friends and that is the difference between Edinburgh and Glasgow for me… Their biggest achievement is 5-1 and rightly so go back just a few more years when they were nowt without a Russian oligarchs money and 6-2…

You should go into the Lowland League and ask Bo'ness utd and Linlithgow Rose fans,they play back to back on Boxing day at Bo'ness and Dec 30 in the return game

The Edinburgh derby will always be the biggest derby in the world to me, it might not be the most well known, but it IS THE oldest top flight derby in the world, and thats a fact.

Historically hibs= Catholic hearts= protestant, but edinburgh has moved past that more than Glasgow. Still to a small extent but it's mainly what part of edinburgh and your family

Handed down thru the generations. Was brought up a stones throw from Hibs ground, but Dad, Grandad and Uncles all Hearts men so it wasn't up for debate❤❤
