Something people should keep in mind too: a lot of this is subject to change based on matchups. Like a shaman may be an S tier fight if you’re playing nuxia, but more A if you’re someone like Zerk, who has somewhat safe recoveries.

A tier list I can entirely agree with?! Truly a unicorn moment indeed. Recent match-ups with gryphon have been an absolute pain lol, Got manhandled by RealYX's Nobushi after a 6 win streak at 2am. Felt accomplished that I managed to win 1 one round somehow. Great vid as always, dude.

Although ocelotl is very reactable from neutral, he has some of the best chain pressure in the game bc of his bash. If they speed up his bash when they do that update he’ll be much better but I do think that the nerf to his bash was unnecessary when they could’ve easily adjusted the stun values instead of removing the damage bc now there’s no real mixup. Before you wanted to use the bash and the finisher bash to get people to dodge so you could then do the light after it and get into your chain bash. Now there’s no reason to not use the light after removing a mixup from a character that’s all about mixups.

Really good and accurate placements on most. Two characters I will however slightly disagree with is Warlord and Nobushi. Warlord should be A- since he is still relatively decent when it comes to locking down you opponent. As for Nobushi, I think she should be higher up on the list. Since this is a high level duel tier list, a skilled Nobushi should be able to react with hidden stance only. This means things like bashes would do nothing to that Nobushi because she can either hidden stance the bash and get a free punish or just don't hidden stance if the opponent goes for a guard break instead

I love nobu, but yeah it's hard to play her in a higher level

She is very easy to react to and it is basically 100% dependent on how the player used her. But other than that, pretty good tier list! :D

wow this looks completely different from a tier list for most players, hitokiri and shugoki are like the only 2 characters in the S tier for the average player because of their constant, barely punishable, unreactable pressure with charged heavies

Hmm, I would put highlander at higherish B tier, the reasoning is since this is a HIGH level duel tier list reactions are heavily taken into account, and if you put a reactionary player on lander that also knows how to use all the bugs/ tech, there are a lot of matchups that lander completely dominates over, example (Gryphon, gladiator, nobushi, pirate, ex) those are some examples not because highlander hard counters them, but because they are very reactable and considered useless at the highlest level of play IN DUELS, highlander with a reactionary player almost changes the entire character as if you cant react you will have a very hard time against him, even with the offensive bugs he still really struggles at high level play due to him not having a true 50/50 that is actually useable, but again if you cant react its pretty much full ball game if you understand the character and matchup, highlander is probably the most informative character in the whole game, but yet very not rewarding, but again HIGH level duel tier lists or duel tier lists are heavily based on that players reaction time and experience, other wise great vid

I like the list except I think shinobi should be higher, hitokiri for his heavy armor and infinite chains which you can change the timing for each hit , shaolin because of how large his arsenal is you can literally do the most combos with him so he’s kinda unpredictable, but that’s my opinion it is your list everyone’s entitled to their own 😂

Totally aggree on HL except for his gb. imo its the worst in the game except on ranked map but if this was for ranked map lawbringer would be his own tier atm. in tournaments where the map is bigger hl main tool are his offensive lights and his parry punishes. Its more than shugo or orochi have but therefore the hl kit in itself is countered by almost every hero in the game. always playing at a disadvantage makes hl players different. Character C tier as he at least has one tool and good punishes. The Player type in combination with these punishes can be seen as a reason to put him higher from a tournament perspective

Interesting tier list, I agree with most of it but I want to know why you guys put warden in S tier while she have the worst defense in the game, I mean the guy doesnt have a proper dodge attack even.. I agree that she is a monster in offense but risk reward isnt that great also you get a gb of 24 damage but if she hits you she only gets 15 damage with double light, she have very bad stam as well. What do you guys think about it ? I mean Im a decent player I understand well you thought process but no one mention her shit defense, I have pain to stare at people when Im in defense because I have no option to deal with any mix up.. only my reactions haha. See I don't really have a problem with this list, because I usually never have a problem fighting anyone, but I have a hard time with Orochi's Light Spam, I genuinely can't even get a hit in... Edit: If they took away the light spam, and added a delay every couple hits like most character's have, I would be a lot more calm, but I genuinely have a problem with his character.
