It's SPOOKY SEASON, and we have the perfect haunted house for sale for you, just in time for Halloween!! We don't know about you, but we'd JUMP at the chance to own one of the most notorious homes from the territorial period of Mississippi!
The history of hauntings here is long and varied, and links the Kings Tavern to the notorious Harpe brothers; potentially the countries forst serial killers, and some of the most sedistic in history! There is also love, betrayal, and murder LITERALLY hidden in these walls. The blood shed lives (allegedly) lost here have no doubt left there mark on this property, and there are plenty of people who will be happy to tell you their first hand experiences!
But for those (like us) who really don't believe in ghosts, goblins or spooks there is still plenty to make this property one of the most appealing we've shared with you. This is your chance to own a 250 year old territorial period gem, filled with orignial features like hand blown glass windows, hand hewn beams, sun baked bricks, and hand forged hardware. There is a huge garden and courtyard, a commercial kitchen, and an additional late 19th century retail building (restored and recently a brewry) included in the price. This is a once in a lifetime chance to own a notorious property in one of America's best tourist towns. Make it your home or your business, and welcome all souls in!

For 17 years I lived with my cats in a house that was built between 1795 and 1805. I will always love that house! And yes, there was a ghost. Two of them that I knew about. One of those ghosts was a cat that used to play with my live cats. Every Christmas the ghost cat enjoyed removing ornaments from my Christmas tree and playing with them in front of the fireplace. The living room was off limits to my live cats when the Christmas tree was up, so I know they did not remove those ornaments! Anyway, I loved living there and was never afraid. I felt protected by my ghost.

This place could be such a dynamic and glowing hub for the Natchez community, generally!! Please oh please, persons or person of clever, sensitive aesthetics, foood and beverage love, hospitality minded -- buy this distinctive place! Give it power, life, charm. I envy you (potential buyer) the very deep fun, joy, adventure it'll be giving it renewed life and purpose.

What a fascinating place! A serious piece of history. We ate at Gadsby's Tavern in Old Alexandria, VA, and as history nerds, it was such a thrill to know George Washington had frequented the place; the period feel of the interior and the costumed wait staff completed the experience. King's Tavern could be brought back in the same way. So many of these places were burned down or otherwise lost to history. Extant buildings of this era here in San Diego are from the Spanish occupation, and were made of adobe. Most, even the Mission and the Presidio, had to be reconstructed. The Whaley House in Old Town here is well known for its ghosts; the 1857 brick home, also used as a courthouse and theater, was built on the location of a gallows. The last man hanged there lies across the road in the small cemetery. Happy Haunting all!

In 2016 my sisters and I took a trip to San Diego. We went to Old Towne which is very nice. I loved it!! I wanted to go inside the Whaley House but my sisters did not. One of them, who says she can see ghosts, would not even cross the street where the house is. So, I went inside by myself and loved the historic house.

My granddaughter and I ate there a few years ago and got the scare of our lives. In the vacant upstairs room, I stupidly called to Madeline (the ghost mentioned) to show herself to us if she was there. Instantly, all the drinking glasses on a table in the room began to vibrate and rattle violently. We couldn’t make it down the stairs fast enough!

Hi Laine and Kevin! What is this? A spooky rendition of Dark Shadows!! All those ghastly ghostly happenings ever-present in that tavern? Sounds like the west wing of Collinwood to me with its unending hauntings, unexplainable events, and parallel time room. 🤣 I love it!! 👍 Now, I digress. What a beautiful historic tavern and corner building, both on a very nice sized lot. Wow! The entire property would make a great destination place, a multi-use living history museum that highlights the tavern's long, unique ghostly/ghastly history with murder-mystery style dinner shows. It can also serve as an events venue, where weddings, anniversaries, and other gatherings can be held in "normal" or ghostly fashion. This was a great video that I really enjoyed! Thank you both for making it!

Aww, I didn’t know King’s Tavern had closed! I live 3 hours north and had only been there once a few years ago. I hope it opens as a restaurant again but really anything as long as it is properly maintained. So much history! ☺️

@@OurRestorationNation Oh! I've been wondering about the number of properties for sale in this area, but didn't want to imply anything negative. Definitely makes sense, and I think it is even more important that you are featuring these wonderful historic places on your channel. It would be so easy for one of your followers to forward this on to the right person who might otherwise remain unaware of a gem. I can see why you were tempted, but you're going to need clones of yourselves already. :)

There's so much life and character to this tavern. This place may have had its fair share of tragedies, but that doesn't stop it from being a beautiful old place. I wonder, is it still run as a tavern? Or was it, I should say? And the connecting building looks like it would be a perfect little antique and book store, to me 😉
