I love how God can use what some Christians say is evil music to reach the lost. There songs have helped me thru a lot of storms in life they taught me to be Bold in Christ they will forever be my number one band ever because they right truth and they don’t compromise awesome RIP

I've never been super religious, but the last few years have been some of the worst times of my life. I've always been a huge For Today fan, ever since their Ekklesia Album. Their music has always given me chills, almost like God was present. I have decided to become a follower of Christ and be an all-around better person. I hope Christ accepts me with open arms and will accept me as I am and cleanse me of my sins.

Seriously I don't know what band can compete with this one. I feel the spirit of God when I hear them.

This song is sooooo POWERFUL!!! For Today is my absolute favorite Christian metal band. So blessed to have gotten to see them live at Warped Tour last year.

Ive listened to this band before but never really looked at the deep meanings of the lyrics until this past Wednesday. We had Mattie Montgomery come speak at our college in Virginia and share a message with us. This dude is so chill. I love how he publicly is open and plays a popular style of music that portrays his open faith to everyone. This dude is inspiring... This dudes chill.

Just started listening to this band and I just learned it's a Christian band. Although I'm atheist I don't mind listening to Christian music and I am getting into this band and I like this song too. It's bands like these that prove to ignorant people that this genre of music is not "devilish" or "evil" or "satanic" it proves to people that you can worship the lord in anyway so I give props to this band that make music the way they do and be who they are and not have to change just for the fame. 👏👏👏

i used to be satanic. it was the most awful time of my life. cutting myself to spill my blood on the pentagram it wasn't fun. then one night i said "ENOUGH SATAN YOU NO LONGER HAVE POWER OF ME FOR CHRIST SPELT HIS BLOOD TO SAVE ME" and no i see things clearly I'm happy strong in so many ways. thank you Christ for giving us your death for our life

Man o man! The Words of this song lead me back to the beauty of scripture. Mattie truly does what Christians are called to do and use the gifts that God has given for his glory. My hands can build, but your hands can create- my hands can help, but your hands can save. When someone finds Christ there is no stopping the light from shining through all areas of their life. The truth of Gods Word will be a testimony to all creation when the Lord returns.

Mattie just shared a message at Liberty University, can you believe that? So awesome, I don't mean to lower him but rather my understanding of what God is capable of. His message was how a lot of Christians like the spotlight, big churches and massive intelligence. I tell you now he was right, some of us will never be noticed. However, some of the most important moments in the bible are started by nobodies, their names aren't even there, except in God's memory. He is not far from you and he has not forgotten you, keep the faith.

I remember the first time I heard this song. It came on my pandora while sitting on a city bus heading home in Ft. Lauderdale. I had just gotten off of work as a formwork carpenter. Nothing but a mattress on a floor in a shitty apartment. It resonated with me then to keep going. I’m older now. Married with a kid. I sit behind a desk. It still hits the same as it did back then. Amazing song.

Christianity is the only religion that accepts litterly everyone. Christ died for everyone and accepts every culture and style and world view me I'm a Gothic Christian which in historical terms is a true Goth. I love Chrisian metal and scremo all the good stuff nothing's wrong with I just because the style isn't generally Christian it can still be Christian. Psalms 33:3 says sing to The Lord and shout for joy, For today is shouting loud and a new song. Just because the people of the Christian religion don't accept people dosent mean we are in the right because all Christians are supposed to love and accept every people like Christ taught.

I only wish to be able to use my musical talents to sing Our Father in Heaven's praises to the masses. I AM NOT ASHAMED!!!!

I miss the more lead-driven style of guitar from Breaker. Their guitar work isn't as interesting now.

Have to consider this band a guilty pleasure, don't believe a word they say but the lead is heavy as fuck and has a great scream/growl, don't like the implications of the lyrics, still a good artist though. P.S. I am an atheist in case y'all were wondering why I don't believe a word they say

Not much a Christian these days. Agnostic I guess is a good name for what I am. Maybe. But I’m still listening to For Today to this day. For Today has been my favorite band did many years and I got to see them live many times luckily! I have a signed copy of Ekklesia from Mattie, Ryan, Brandon, and the drummer from the Portriats days. Great men, great band all around.
