Had the opportunity to collect, shuck and eat about as many oysters as we could! Aaron and I might be sick of them at this point.

Really not bad for never having done it! I would recommend a $5-10 oyster knife or even a butter knife from the kitchen, but yall made it work just fine

Problem with not eating them fresh shucked is you lose the sea water. What makes each set of oysters unique is the water they come from. The salty brinieness you get from the fresh shuck makes the oyster. I eat tons fresh shucked in Florida with no problem. Little horseradish and lemon

Yes definitely agree with you there! This specific beach recommended we pasteurize them to kill any possible bacteria in the clam.
