Toyota 4runners have Toyota Pickup/Tacoma front ends. Ya’ll just forgot your roots.

The body lines near the bumper are the same as the Tacoma, guessing it’s so the ARB bumper fits both vehicles, which is why this just looks like a Tacoma with the rear roof.

So happy i got my 5 gen 4 years ago. People love the boxy classic design with smooth lines like old defender and land cruiser look. This thing looks like the result of threesome between rav4, sequoia and tacoma. All that body line, the wrinkles and chisel look is butt-ugly. They ruined the beautiful look of previous tacoma design and now the 4 runner too. i am disappointed that toyota has not learn their lesson from this aggressive modern design and it all started with their ugly lexus front grill. land cruiser is good looking though. Sad to say it but this will be the death of 4 runner especially with new land cruiser close to price range.

The air dam in the front of the blue limited is removable with 6 screws. They are there entirely for improved aerodynamics for better MPG.

After this morning's faux pas by Forbes magazine letting out the 4Runner press release 12 hours early, I expect we're going to see a big spike in demand for the last of the 5th gens. I'm very underwhelmed by the styling for how long it has been in development. Hate the longer wheel base, hate the decrease in approach and departure angles, not at all impressed with the styling and body lines. I think we all expected it would have the same 2.4L turbo as the Tacoma, but I'm still disappointed. If the price point is in the mid $50k range, why would anyone buy one of these over a Land Cruiser? To be fair, I thought the new Land Cruiser was going to be difficult to beat. The LC is what the 4Runner should have been. Simplistic but classic lines, outstanding functionality, and basic options that are extremely functional for the off-road enthusiasts. Stylistically, the new 4Runner looks like botox trash compared to the LC. I expect this might be the shortest lived generation since the 1990-1995 run of the 2nd gen 4Runner. I think they're going to see a big drop in demand. It doesn't have a single differentiating feature that makes it more appealing than the Land Cruiser other than a slight variation in price point.

I test drove the GX 550 over the weekend. That same day, I walked out with an LX 570 with 20k miles.😁 Just felt like I was getting so much more truck and dependability for the money. Also, 5.7L V8. 💪 I’m sure the 4Runner will be a solid option, but I would personally give it a few years to iron things out.

Those idiots at Toyota had something so good with the 5th generation 4Runner for 15 years and how they screwed it up with 4 cylinder Turbo and much worst which is a hybrid. Absolute junk and be prepared to visit your stealership more often with high cost of repair and much more less forgiving vehicle. Get your credit cards out to financially support your service advisors.

It's kinda anti-climatic as it appears Toyota went back to the mid 80's style, i.e. a Tacoma without a truck bed. It also reminds me of the old Vehicross from Isuzu

This new gen if it’s the real thing that’s on the photo is a no go for me. Too much curves and plastic - maybe difficult to upgrade to bigger wheels. But that’s me - some folks might like the upgraded interior but I think the 5gen premium is just as awesome

Looks like 4Runner meets rav4 meets old Nissan xterra. Wheelbase is definitely shorter. Toyota reveal is tonight I believe.

I’m hoping they price it right. There’s a reason soo many cars and trucks are sitting on the lots right now and it’s not just quality issues. I want one but I might wait until the 26’s come out though.

It's a Taco-Runner. I'm already over the Tacoma front end styling. Quite bummed.... The rear break-over does not look so good.

It’s ugly. Fugly. Oogly. And im a Toyota fanatic. I can’t stand the new tundra, sequoia, Tacoma, and this. Really really flimsy bumpers, plastic, cheap interior center consoles, the TRD pro seats in the sequoia are flat and hard, and….the price is a total joke. My local dealer had a capstone tundra for $6500 below msrp. Not selling to well I guess. They were msrp or below during Covid too. I’m at 221k on my 2008 5.7L sequoia. It will probably still be going when these new ttv6 and turbo 4 bangers die. 7:57 it’s a sequndra. (Sequoia with a tundra front end)! Sexy!

The six gen 4runner in my opinion is ugly. The two tone look with the dark fender flares looks cheesy, they ruined the look. It looks like a toy.
