We really need to overhaul this system. First thing I would do is when members of congress are asking questions in their 5 min round they need to then SHUT OFF THE CLOCK. When witnesses are answering or responding. A witness shouldn’t be allowed to filibuster and run out the clock so they can avoid answering.

The only hole I found in Kiley's statements were that he was holding Garland to the need for data in 2021, and Wray didn't testify about the lack of data until 2022. If Wray had done it before hand, then Garland would have been in a world of hurt (even more so)

If the best evidence of that some group is a terror threat that you have is a video of someone making a threat -- a verbal threat, not even a single act of violence -- then you can tell that doesn't merit "terrorist" status that the FBI has labelled Americans with. Good for Kiley! He narrowed Garland down to actually having to attempt to answer a direct question. Garland tried dodging several times, tried answering a different question, and Kiley kept stopping him and calling out his deflection. He finally gave a definition of "chilling effect" that wasn't even a real definition.

But the part that real gets me is when their ask a question and their answer changes, but the one asking the question never calls them out on their previous answer. I know thru only get so much time. But these call outs are very important. Like yesterday with Jim Jordan, who I love and am proud, he represents me and my follow buckeys. The answers to his questions were different. Same question, different responses, but he never called it out, and that was very aggravating to me.
