Here is what has to be done. Take all of the FBI'S workload and divide it up between the other agencies in the Department of Homeland Security. I.e the ATF, CIA, NSA, etc. Then shut the FBI down. As the impeachment proceedings for Wray and Garland proceed, purge the FBI of any and all agents who were involved in this corruption. Fire them and ban them from ever working for the Federal government or law enforcement for the rest of their lives. Retain the good FBI agents and make them the core of the new FBI. Yes, the FBI does have good agents in it. Hire new people to fill the slots that were created after all the bad agents were fired. Make it part experienced law enforcement agents and part citizens with no experience in law enforcement. Start a very intense training program to get the new FBI up to speed. Once that is done, bring back the work load that was transferred to the other agencies in the Department of Homeland Security to the FBI. Unless this is done, I fear that the FBI will lose favor with the people. Even people like me who support law enforcement.
