The entire function was a feminist function so I guess that was their theme and whole point. Judge Judy has explicitly said on many interviews that she does not associate with feminist organizations or consider herself a feminist. She gets ahead by working hard despite any challenges as a woman. She doesn't like victimhood. Idk why she even agreed to do this type of interview knowing what the theme is.
@wkim22
@wkim22 Жыл бұрын
@@knucklehoagies I've been a feminist all my life but I don't want to be associated with the left's woke brand of feminism which is often associated with sociopathy and psychopathy. I guess Judge Judy is a feminist in a sense as all women are supposed to be but definitely not the victim type.

Judge Judy speaks so much sense: it doesn't matter what your gender is, what you do etc. Just find something you're passionate about, and be the best in it. Have self-worth.

Really liked how she handled this. The interviewer kept trying to move it in the direction of woman power. But JJ kept applying her advice regardless of gender. Even the question about dealing with men in the room. She came at it from the perspective of "If you are in a room with men WHO MIGHT BE misogynistic". Im glad she made thay distinction and didn't just label all men. Good job to the judge.

What is a feminist?
@viperracing2889
@viperracing2889 Жыл бұрын
@@francessiranovic4088 That has changed alot over the decades. In the 70s, the feminist movement was kidnapped by the neomarxist movement, and today they are one and the same. It boils down to gaining political power for the radical left. So a feminist is someone who is either a radical leftist or unknowingly running their errands, using false sexist reasoning as an excuse.

How wonderful. Judge Judy you are a special person . Ihad lots of interesting jobs through my life. I didn’t go to University until I was in my late 30s. That opened up a whole aspect to my life. Fun is definitely the key to life. Due to DNA at 80 I am very unwell but I can look back and not feel I have wasted my life 🌈 Since my husband died two years ago the thing I miss most is the fun we had reminiscing. It’s rough having no one to share those great times and not so great, with. I long to be with him again.

A sense of humor is your greatest weapon, especially as a young woman of color. Story time: I was at a golf tournament sponsored by my job for our vendors and one of the vendors cut me off on the course with his golf cart and in front of 10s of ppl asked if I was the "beer lady" and said he'd give me money to get him a beer. I asked him in the most sincere, calm, even toned voice possible, "do I look like the beer lady?" and just stared at him. He was dumbfounded and as he was scrambling to find his words, I pointed to the outdoor bar & let him know he had two legs and a cart and could grab me a beer while he was getting his own. He never approached me again that day and didn't bring me a beer, either!

Many people as I did at the beginning got stuck with a job that I really didn't like I would never have stayed with that job or if I had to financially I would have stayed with that job and been unhappy mediocre lawyer in a world where I could never have had the confidence of doing a great job. I go to karaoke and sing with my friends, but, the people in the place get to drinking and get loud, you can't hear the song that is playing, and you can't hear yourself sing. and going into a recording studio costs money, which at the moment, I don't have that kind of money to do that.
