Guys. She tried out fir WWE in Chile in 2018. WWE flew her from Mexico back to Chile and was able to visit with family for 2 days. She hadn't had the chance to visit family for many years before her try out. She had mentioned that meant allot to her. She's been on WWE's radar.

People keep talking about Forbidden Door, but Stephanie had a tryout for WWE in 2018, and she wrestled in an NJPW tournament. This just goes to show that no one pays attention to anything outside of American wrestling.

It's true there's two interviews where in Spanish about this and how if she had a choice between AEW and NXT she'll choose NXT and keep in mind she said this back in 2021 think about that.

WWE have been watching her for years and she’s had tryouts before. They didn’t just spot her on Forbidden Door and think “oh she’s good”. It’s possible that forbidden door scared them into taking action now but I don’t think it’s why they signed her.

I think it's just the fact that Forbidden Door was her best showing, and showed she can work with Sasha Banks which basically translates to stephanie can work the wwe style of wrestling.

I don’t agree that it’s not a loss for AEW. She was right there for AEW to sign. Especially on how shallow their women’s division is at this time.

The women’s division in wwe is stacked asf plus Stephanie is joining NXT for development too is insane on top of that when Charlotte comes and Alexa comes back and Trish stratus and Becky lynch come back along with every single women in the wwe locker rooms the women’s division is stacked

Wrong. Mercedes is the common factor in all her matches. SHE is the one who upgrades. Not the other way around. Weakest link of the horse women? More like the most under-appreciated out of the horse woman.
