beautiful imagery! and that slow, forward motion of the "camera" helps give it a slightly 3-d effect too. I'm not sure the Hitchcock aspect comes through, bar a few guys in 40'style suits who look a bit like Cary Grant and Jimmy Stewart. Also, Hitchcock had nothing to do with "The Thing from Another World',; that was two directors Howard Hawks and Christian Nyby. it would've been nice to think Hitchcock might've enjoyed "The Thing" (but I suspect not) though given there's a sense of paranoia and the notions of mistaken identity in both Hitchcock's work and in "The Thing" it's cool to imagine some confluence.

yes a little touch of thriller from Hitchcock. The Thing comes out by AI and maybe the prompts spec that is a retro sci-fi of the 50s what limit the visuals effects of that time, and I specifiy to be Technicolor color grading.

Thanks you to ! First I wanted to recreat the sound in my electronic studio ... but before, lets try with the original sound track (if you didn't know the movie that was just released into the public domain) also to test if the YTB checking algo pops out some copyright issues ... it pass OK !!! So I cut some parts from the audio track of the movie, and it fits so good in retro sci-fi images, so I let it go so :)

Fascinating! The state of AI is still in it's infancy and though there are alot of concerns with it in all facets of our lives going forward, it's still incredible in what it can accomplish. The Krell depicted in this video have a very menacing presence in a "Lovecraftian" cosmic horror way reminding me of The Old Ones & Cthulhu!
@Cognaxance
@Cognaxance 5 ай бұрын
That's a mistake. The AI doesn't distinguish between the Krell and their imagination or Id, as Morbius explained. They should appear as an intellectually superior and aloof. Yet physically non-threatening. But a people betrayed by their own inner demons. Which the AI wrongly depicts as the Krell.

If you dig the net, you find something like this: "That's a project that I'm actively involved in, but I haven't made any decisions about it yet," Cameron said, adding "I love 'Forbidden Planet.'" this was in 2008, the movie was not yet in Public Domain, like now, so Cameron canceled or hold the project.

December 2023 - I admire the A.I. effort. I know the original movie very well. It took a tremendous amount of work and thought and continuity to make that movie. Honestly, all the images look interesting. But I really don’t see the continuity and care to detail that the creators of the original movie had. But I have to admit, a lot of effort did go into this A.I. creation.

The focus upon "Bug Eyed Monsters" detracts from the magesty of the Krell. The interpretation of the Id Beast at the end is more terrifying than in the original, but it requires a superior "clean" tech contrast between the goals of the Krell and reality of the beast.

I agree, in same time I put myself in the 50s retro sci-fi tech movies, so the visual effects are more explicit exposed in the frame, it destroy little bit the mystery :) but it was also a choice of esthetics to show how AI see the "monster". Also I liked the reaction of the character. the only things where I keep consistency in the frames was the "Big Krell Machine".

FANTASTIC photos in this video! It would a make a award winning movie. Just one thing though: Alfred Hitchcock had NOTHING to do with "The Thing from Another World" as you state. According to Wikipedia: "The Thing from Another World, sometimes referred to as just "The Thing", is a 1951 American black-and-white science fiction-horror film, directed by Christian Nyby, produced by Edward Lasker for Howard Hawks' Winchester Pictures Corporation, and released by RKO Radio Pictures". Additionally, Alfred Hitchcock had absolutely nothing to do with Forbidden Planet! Again, according to Wikipedia: "Forbidden Planet is a 1956 American science fiction film from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, produced by Nicholas Nayfack, and directed by Fred M. Wilcox from a script by Cyril Hume that was based on an original film story by Allen Adler and Irving Block."

In my opinion, and I’m sure you understand the relationship between anal orifices and opinions, I feel AI detracts from the creativity and ingenuity of the human mind. The “stunning” and surrealistic visuals subsume the emotion and message of the storyteller. The original, while of that era were impressive, the visuals only heightened the experience of the story and did not overwhelm the underlying menace of relying on machine intelligence. Following this rabbit hole will only lead to the loss of imagination and creation, atrophy of artistic talent, and subversion of the narrative to simple byplay. The message is clear. Surrender cognitive skills to the machine and the machine becomes the master.

To be onest, I like your point of view and how do you expose your opinions about AI generated images, it is true, if you are in a process to creat a piece of art it can be somehow distracting or predictive in the output or to random or unrealistic. it is a selection to get in aprox under 7 min, but of course they are a lot of variants and also funny outputs :)

I like some of these esthetics. Others are over the top. Too camp. Too exaggerated. Less is more.

@@Cinematic-ASMR-Spacelab Don't get me wrong, it was amazing and beautifully done. But Forbidden World is my goto scifi. I must have watched 30 to 40 times in my life. This movie inspired J. Michael Straczynski to create Babylon 5. One of my top 3 scifi series. Forbidden Planet was far ahead of it's time. Even with the camp. I wish some of the scenes you created were in the movie. Much respect..

Original still better, AI in this case means “Ain’t Improved.”
