Feel like the down gimmick would work properly with a central weight distributed beyblade. While upper works with outward weight distribution. Like for an upperattack you need to apply enough force to push out. But for a downward attack gimmick you need to create enough force to maintain your spin. Maintain the center and let your enemy basically hurt themselves.

Bonus: Help of Hexa bit it can stable it self instenly.,, When gets a hit hexa bit puss it self down agle+ after few sec. Hexa bit puss it to spin down angle to 90*d angle too. ! Two powers!!!!!!!!!
