I am literally in tears. I worked with Brahm and he used to sing in our work truck and on jobs and we were all floored telling him to pursue it. He is legit one of the sweetest dudes I've ever met. I agree, the beat could have been a bit more fleshed out and shit before Brahm hopped on it. Feel like it was a bit half assed on Kyle's part, transition wise, hardly any processing on the vox like a noise gate etc. Bit of a shame but hopefully they work together again.

Definitely finish this. He needs more time to get comfortable you can tell he was very reserved (not in a bad way it was just his first time so duh) it may take a few sessions. He has it in him, he just needs work on getting it out.

For sure. It doesn’t feel complete. Absolutely no hate, usually can’t catch lightning in a bottle in one single session. I wonder if Brahm feels like he put his best out there or if he got overwhelmed. It would be cool to see him make this more comprehensive.

The one critique I have is you could tell the creative process was held back, by the “newness” of your house, the video recording, studio session etc. That video where he was in his car, he was comfortably singing and rapper. You can hear it in his inflections, demeanor, poise, and sound. Give him this track and let him work at home for a week or so, guaranteed you get the song he can really do. Takes time to deliver great songs in studio sessions, if you’ve only had the comfort of your own privacy to create.

I'm a Australian Army Combat Vet, did nearly a Decade in the Army then got out and worked in Mining for almost 3 years before having a Motor vehicle accident, lost both my legs below knee from the injuries, so medically retired now. Survived Afghanistan and Iraq multiple times but it was a car accident on my way to the accommodation camp for the Mine Site I worked for that got me lol! Talk about irony hahaha! Has so much potential but definitely not ready to be released. Feel like you should just send him the beat and let him freely record in his own comfortable environment, then you can re work it all when he sends it back. Was good for him to get that studio experience with you tho he was probably super nervous about it all.

To think this man someone I’ve looked up to for the last what 4 or 5 years someone I’ve been watching since I think like 8th grade. Listening to his beats trying to find my style working on music. Def finish it! Mans got a solid voice, I think If you give him a bit of time to sit with it and come up with a solid rap verse its going to be gold. A lot of pressure being in the studio coming up with lyrics + recording on the spot. I think if he had time to take it home and write some bars on it then send you the verse it will be a wrap.

I think you just need to give him more time to get more comfortable. This is a solid song, and as you said, it was his first time. Have him come back over, encourage him to step up, and eventually you'll have that rap combo you are looking for!
