I love "Foot Foot". I discovered the Shaggs 10yrs ago. The is nothing like them. There are two left. Unfortunately one has left us.

The Shaggs are great because they're just playing. They aren't intentionally trying to sound bad or being "ironic", that's just how they sound.

reposting this so yall see the lore music was bad because it was slightly on purpose, their father (they are all sisters!!!) was an abusive piece of shit, basically threw his kids in a room said make music for me and shit. “”They had no interest in becoming musicians and did not enjoy the rehearsals. Dot later said: "[Our father] was stubborn and he could be temperamental. He directed. We obeyed. Or did our best."”

The Shaggs are genuinely, unironically awful and unlistenable. "Outsider art," my ass. They don't lick the boots of Daniel Johnston, Jandek, Wild Man Fischer, even Wesley Willis.
