Here we complete the final fit up and run in of the 36" Titan thumb on the Ford 555 backhoe. Despite the fit issues this upgrade looks to be worth it's weight in gold. The Husqvarna chainsaw gets a little exercise as do I. Burn pile stacking will never be the same

Howdy, Sir. Conzer from Titan here, would you mind including that it's a Titan thumb in your description so I could potentially refer customers to your video if they ever need to burr out some holes!

Great vid! How exactly do you measure the bucket for this? Their website just says bottom of the bucket to the forks but where exactly on the bottom of the bucket? Inside bottom, inside top, topside inside, or by the hinge pin?

Thanks for the video. I just bought the 24" thumb for my Kioti. For $170 incl tax and shipping I couldn't pass it up. I may need help on the weld-up. You did a good job w/that stick welder. BTW you should get some chainsaw chaps. I got some after a friend cut his thigh by the knee.

Can't you take the top pin out and slide the whole assembly up instead of taking out the two pins each time?
@Man-Time
@Man-Time 4 жыл бұрын
The pins are different sizes so they do need to be switched around. The picture from Titan shows that's correct configuration so I think pulling both pins and relocating like I show is the only way to do it.
@crownover100
@crownover100 9 ай бұрын
You are correct. Pull the bottom pin and flip everything up. One pin is all you have to pull. I have the same thumb.

all you need to do is pull bottom pin it will drop and grip arm will fold uo ..one pin only

I wouldnt sell my husky 350 for any amount of money. Love that saw. Bought it brand new in 2003 and never done anything to it other than routine maintenance.

When I first got my place and for several years I processed and sold firewood using the 350. Replaced the jug and piston twice. First with cheap and it lasted a year then with husky brand and it’s been great since. Still use it👍

@@Man-Time I have cut down alot of trees and did alot of firewood with mine and had the muffler come loose once but I caught it. That's the only issue I ever had with it. I run aviation fuel and husky synthetic oil at 40:1. It still has over 140 psi of compression after all these years.

O think your top bracket went further up like a cylinder would do to pit the thumb in a open postion/ out of the way

I put the thumb up in its “store” position near the end of the vid. It tucks away nicely

I went over that in my head and made a gut call. For the time avoided grinding I think I made the right call. I usually run in the center pin location and find it acceptable with a better bucket resting position

This is a tough one. There isn’t much I can’t do with this, a few chainsaws, and some chain. I do recommend it because it is a great multipurpose tool for me. I would also look at maybe a mini excavator. I don’t own one but from what I see they are pretty handy too. Welcome to Man Time!
