Can't agree more about roling back the mileage on oil changes especially with none deleted engines. Mine is completely deleted and my oil changes are every 5k miles and fuel filters every 10k. Air box as needed. Also i got rid of the stock air filter way back as I felt it two restritive. I went with an S&B kit huge change in preformance. The stock air filter really choked the engine down. What what you said about gunk and soot in the engine is true. I don't know how the manufacture could sell a vehicle with a system what I can say the sole purpose is to sabotage the longevity of the engine. These new engines with proper filters and oil changes are 500k engines and you can aquire an increase of 30%+ along with proper tunns. I found that tunners straight from the factory set at stock will give some extra HP. But the low boost fuel seems to high. Mine was set at 3 out of a setting of 5. lowerd it to a setting of 2 now on lift off I see zero black smoke and the tail pipe is quite dry. So I can say with confidence that with the added 30%+ fuel economy that emissions have dropted equily. I would argue that with a truck past warranty with all its failed science projects in place will produce = emissions if not better

I have a 2007 with a 6.0 and cylinder 5 intake rocker arm is all loose and It does have the loud popping noise coming from the air filter housing .. they are telling me , bent the valve and it will most likely need a camshaft .. cause the rocker arm was replaced and it is still loose .. any suggestions?

On this one I used the launch X-431 Pad 11. We also have mentor and Snap-on prolink. you might also be interested in part 2 and part 3 of this video should be all on my same channel.

Hey George did you do a cab lift on this and when you did the rocker arms and push tubes did you remove the fuel rail or just the metal lines to the injector's

Have you had any rocker failures WITHOUT the popping and code for a misfire? Also, do you have to R&R injector tubes when you replace the rockers?

I don't know how you would detect any problem without pulling the covers and visually Inspecting the rockers. As long as the valves are opening the engine seem to run fine. But if you look and see the bad rocker in the video you can tell what to look for. I think if the oils were changed regularly probably not too much to worry about but sometimes maintenance gets overlooked. If you want to take your rocker assemblies out you have to remove the fuel rail inside the covers and I recommend replacing the fuel rail pressure sensor while you're in there good insurance. Like I said before this is a three-part video I tried to explain the whole problem and the end result.

I noticed a ticking or slight rattle when at idle. You could tell it was in driver side valve cover. One clip was broken. Changed the rocker arm assembly, rattle was gone. I've had several 6.4's they all had issues on the driver side first.

I’ve been tearing down 6.0/6.4 engines for years at my machine shop and I have never seen anything like that. My mind is blown

Hey man. Give got a 6.4 and it has a tapping sound when accelerating. I feel like it’s the rockers but not sure. When they get worn out like he explains will they make that tapping sound?

How much did this cost

Junk Mob Junk Removal Reno this one here had a lot of other issues but I would say to just do the rocker assembly and bridges gaskets involved and a good man should be between 1500 and $2,000 but like I said I'm just going by memory I think you're going to be into between 7 and $900 in Parts but like I said my memory is foggy.

Oil dilution is horrible on those... I won’t go over 5000 on a oil change, super crucial... also most guys don’t know there is a water separator that needs to be drained once a month as well. Corrosion in the fuel system is another killer for the 6.4. I’m looking at having to change the hpfp and am a little nervous. Might just sell it.

I'm 7 minutes in and you already said two things wrong. One, it is a pushrod and two, you won't get it to run by applying power to the starter wire, all that does is run the starter, it won't start the engine. I'll continue watching this series to see what other things you get wrong...

If you own ANY PIWERSTROKE..4000 mile oil changes are required..not 4500..5000,6000 ..4000 miles..and use Motorcraft filters..ALWAYS..but who am I..its 🇺🇸 AMERICA..do what you want
