Me again when you find the rusted out oil bath breather clean the Rusty metal & Bondo it. There's a lot old fords around with Bondo on the side of the block, mostly 8n`s.

That is a 5 speed transmission, which had that type of gear shift. The 600, 620, and 640 had 4 speed transmissions, which shifted similar to the 8N. 650 and 660 had the 5 speed, and the 660 had live PTO.

I have 2 old ford's, one is a 59 651 workmaster and a golden jubilee.. dont underestimate these little tractors, everyone only thinks there for small tasks but i use my 651 for running my bailer while pulling a hay wagon at the same time, pulling massive logs out if the fence line, plowing, pulling 12' disc, no problems and wants do more..

I bought a newer tractor couple weeks ago. Picked up a 58 601 workmaster. It has a little more sunburn then yours does. Fires up as quick as you hit the button. But if you have to ever use the choke you have to pull the string. Lol. Have a new choke rod on it's way.

Half on the trailer, half off. If something is going to stall for no reason, that's where it will do it every time. 😋

Surprised its a 12V not 6V, some premixed 50/1 2 stroke fuel works good to fire an old engine. Lubes up the valves & such.

How many Kubotas and Yanmars will make it to 70? For that matter, how many modern John Deeres will make it to 70? My old Ford 8n has, and that 660 will, too.
