My dude, for us Aussies, you actually have to try pretty hard to rust up any car here. I live in Sydney and, at worst, I only ever got some surface rust on the lip of a wheel arch on my old car (caused by stone chips on the paint on the lip). The only cars you'll see that are really rusty are probably those that have sustained some damage on their body panels and haven't been repaired so paint fails, and rust just starts to form from any metal there.

oh my god, the version of sync that car runs is possibly one of the nuggetiest pieces of software i’ve ever had the displeasure of using. here’s just a few of the joys it’s genuinely presented me with over the years: • bluetooth occasionally doesn’t send audio (still plays the tracks, just no sound). only fix is turning your phone’s bluetooth off and back on • upon playing an album, you have to pause on your phone at the start and then press play. if you don’t, it will auto-skip every song after a random amount of time • it’ll sometimes get confused when switching menus and get stuck trying to load things. you’ll have to switch to a different menu and back to the one you want for it to load. unless it’s like, *STUCK* stuck. then you’ll have to turn the engine off, open your door, wait a couple seconds, blow in the cartridge, then turn the engine back on (and no, a hard-reset via the console doesn’t reliably work in those cases) • so like this one time, it was so cold out that the clock froze. the digital clock. froze. i had to run the car for 10 minutes, by which point the clock had slowly sped up to eight minutes ahead • oh yeah, the clock runs fast

The best way to use the falcons infotainment center is to buy one of the aerpro kits to install a single DIN underneath, and bypass all the stereo duties to it, leaving the big screen to only exist for air-con controls. Hey Wade, this injected eco-lpi is actually the least sad of the barras, it's the best non-turbo barra that Ford ever made! Sure they didn't paint the top like they did for the older LPG models, but they didn't paint most of the standard barra tops for the whole life of the engine. The plastic intake manifold is actually way better than the metal one, stops heat soak and has better flow, +10-20 kW better. And the reason why the compression test is so high is that the eco-lpi has a higher compression ratio of 12.0:1 (compared to 10.3:1 for the BF/FG Barra E-Gas engine). So the eco-lpi is the most powerful naturally aspirated barra from factory

Collision investigation nerd here 👋 as a point about the g-forces it might actually only be measuring the coefficient of friction between the tyres and the road. If you do the tests at different temperatures, slightly damp etc you can get a massive difference. The reason i say is a standard road in the UK is roughly 0.7g-0.8g capable (tested via abs braking) so its not unreasonable that you can increase all those performance results depending on where and when you do the pull. Also, fucking ay mate. Love all the channels, keep it up (as a pom I wont say that again I promise 😂).

Barras are easy though, not much in the way, everything is either a 10mm, 12mm, 5mm Allen or a 14mm and she's out. Not saying it's an easy job for someone with little experience or that they're all easy just that I was surprised how easy they are compared to how everyone makes it sound

Gives "the last of the v8 interceptors" vibes when you said "the last of the barra 6s"

Just went to a pick-a-part today to get some spare knick-knacks for my brothers car, sad that there isn't any new falcons being made. Especially with that old Ford factory down in Geelong...
