The Basement removal goes on and when finish it will be filled in and eventually built on , the Dagenham plant started production in 1931 and closed in 2013 and took approximately two years to decommission, Demolition of the Dagenham stamping plant started in September 2016 , now 2018 and still the wheel plant and new tooling room to be demolished !

It's a shame ! if you see ford Genk . That factory wasn't obsolete at all! the Power plant for electricity nearby... new bridges where bult around it with waterway for transport with railroad from the metal factory where they galvanised the steel plates to ford genk where the whole assebly took place, included the (steel) wheels where stamped there . inside the factory robotic conveyors exoskelton tools to help the assembly. then ford decided to pull out the plug...

Alessio S, yes i agree with you the Dagenham plant was the opposite out of date and run down due to the company ending production in 2002 when i left after 26 years working in the plant you can see being demolished! Its such a shame that they closed Genk! They still have the Dagenham Engine plant at the moment but for how long ?

ford genk could have gone another 25 yrs with al de updates it got 5 yrs earlier

Kevin B test pilot. But as substitute via lausy interim centers. So not under ford contract a few years
