Ford Econoline Skoolie Gets New Front Clip !

A time-lapse of swapping my 2003 Ford Econoline to 2010+ Front clip. This was using fenders from an E450 but work on E150 E250 and E350 also. This was done on a skoolie but also works on all E-Series vans. Comment below if you have questions!

All Parts are from a 08 or newer econoline
Complete Swap
- LH/RH Headlights with Wiring Pigtails
- Upper Header Support
- Lower Header Support
- Grille
- Hood
- LH/RH Fenders
- Bumper
- Latch
- Upper Core Support w/ side brackets
- Lower Core Support
- Trans/PS Cooler Mount
- Lower Bumper Aero Plastics
- Hood Support Bar
- Griller to Upper Rad Support Plastics
- Fender Mount Tabs, from Donor
- Inner Wheel Liner
Minimum
- LH/RH Headlights with Wiring Pigtails
- Upper Header Support
- Lower Header Support
- Grille
- Hood
- LH/RH Fenders
- Bumper (Optional)
- Latch or Modify existing latch

how do u go from the 2003 headlight wiring to the 2010+ headlights, you must be cutting and splicing wires as physically there isnt enough plugs on that harness to accomodate those headlghts, and unless your using a different headlight pigtail the one shown in other videos is for the square glass headlights. also how do u get the bottom on the fender where t bolts on right in front of the door at the bottom to line up as mine sticks out half and inch after its bolted on at the bottom

There is definitely a slicing going on. I use the pigtail from the newer headlights and spliced it with the original harness I can upload a wiring diagram.

the metal radiator support is the one also from 2008+ ? hood hinges can the old ones be used?

Correct, the hood hinges are original, latch is from the donor. Radiator core support from the 2008+

How you losing the top screw of the passenger fender? Cause I have the same bus I’m going to start mine tomorrow

That was such a pain! I ended up drilling a hole from the inside of the bus then put a cap on it. Sorry about the late reply! I can send photos if you have further questions

The minimum is headlight, fenders, inner core support to hold the headlights both upper and lower. I also recommend the upper metal with the latch as well.

So I have a 99 van and a wrecked 2012 van that I want to swap the front off of the new one onto the old one. I want to know exactly how hard was this. By the looks of the video it seems really hard to do. But just wanted more info on this. Thanks!

Honestly its pretty easy, you can skip the step where I weld in the risers. Your going to want the upper rad support though. Also need the latch from the donor. Overall depends on skill set. I chose to try and get all the mounts for the fender you really only need 2
