Before buying new camera I ope ned Tailgate and removed panel. You access camera connector ((barely) I sprayed electrical connector cleaner then wiggled connection sprayed wd40 wiggle again then closed gate and allowed to soak. Worked perfectly!!

my 2016 F150 had the blue screen. no broken wires. replaced the camera, still blue screen, replaced the wire harness, still blue screen. my suggestion is if you don’t see any broken wires before buying anything get contact cleaner and clean the connections and don’t forget the plug (with the yellow wires) right next to the parking brake under your dash. that was the issue with my blue screen issue. so don’t waste any money like i did lol hopefully this comment will save someone’s some time, frustration and money.

Great video, but it turned out that the fix for mine was cleaning the connection above the spare tire. The connection is there if you want to disconnect the tailgate. Took 20 minutes to disconnect, spray and clean with a electric connection cleaner and reconnect. Saved $500!

What was the initial reason for having to install a new camera? Were you getting an intermittent blue screen when in reverse. Im having that issue now and was wondering if a new camera would solve that. Definitely looks like the old emblems take in water so I wouldn't be surprised if the camera is going out

Do you know if that part number for camera and bezzel will work for 2010 f150 too ?

Why did you have to buy a new base ($52) and emblem ($35)? Don’t you just need the camera?? What size socket you using there? What size Allen wrench?
