I'm sure you'll fix it. Some cars have a facing secured by two screws, which must be removed before you reach the T25 screw. Important is the T25. If you reach this screw the replacement is done.

+stephen clarke Sorry, I can't check that. I sold that car. But the torx screw couldn't be too long. The metal sheet from the roof is thin. How long is the bodge?

Cancel that - I have just realised as it's an older model it has a bolt and a nut and the bolt is threaded. I managed to get another nut in and it's tight now but still not great radio reception. If I order a part I will need a torx screw or some sort of screwbolt though.

Ab Minute 1:10 sieht man im Video über der Schraube einen schwarzen Punkt. Das ist ein Stift vom Antennensockel, der durch das Dach ragt. Dadurch verdreht sich der Antennensockel beim Anschrauben nicht. Klar, muss mit einer Hand am Anfang gegengehalten werden. Das schafft man aber alleine. Vorher den Schraubendreher ansetzen, mit einer Hand halten und dann den Antennensockel mit der anderen Hand aufsetzen. Die ersten Schraubendrehungen erfolgen blind. Danach kann man sich wieder ins Auto setzen und zu Ende schrauben. Hoffe, dass dir diese Erklärung hilft.

I had the same reception with the broken antenna. But the radio station was in town - not far away. If the signal is fading in and out I think your radio station is far away. Could this be the problem?

It happens on all stations, even the local ones, I no it's not the radio because I've changed it, it's either the antenna or the cable I think? But did yours get better after changing the aerial and base?

Kann ich dir so nicht sagen. Probier die Deckenbeleuchtung abzubauen, dann siehst du, ob du die Schraube vom Antennenfuß durch den geöffneten Schacht erreichst.
