I have a 2008 focus LT Mk 2 Ghia Hatch with ,stainless steel system, doesn't sound anywhere as good as your daughters does...Fantastic...Here in Australia we don't get too much performance parts or exhausts systems to suit our Ford Focus's...Good Job.

You should have bought a Ford falcon. I am very perplexed a person from Australia is jealous of an American car. You guys get all the power. Ypu guys get all the cool cars. I didn't even know a rb 30 existed then I found put about the Ford barra. That's what I'm jealous of.....most Americans dont even have a clue about Australian motorsports

Try listening with headphones. Definitely has a deeper tone. It's a dual muffler system. Don't expect it to sound like a rally car.

I wish you had shown more of the uninstall / install. The increased tube diameter will undoubtedly increase power and fuel economy ... but I have to agree ... the sound does not sound much different to me. Before you comment on my equipment ... I have a high end sound card and an excellent Turtle Beach Headset.

I only removed the rear muffler for my car an put a 5 inch exhaust tip as a joke made it so much louder

it is really quiet. but if you look at the old exhaust, it has a resonator and a muffler. the new exhaust has 2 mufflers. if it only had 1 muffler, it probably would have been alot louder. i need to buy a new exhaust, so now i know if i get this one, it wont be that loud. sounds fine tho. sounds good. i like it to be louder but it sounds nice.

I have a 2000 ford focus wagon with the Z-tec engine. I recently bought a magnaflow muffler that I would like to install on it. The muffler I bought is bigger than the stock muffler, will I have any issues with back pressure? Good video by the way sounds nice. Im hoping to get the same sound out of mine. What you think?

You don't have to worry about back-pressure. There is a belief that a low back-pressure exhaust system will cause the valves to burn, this has been pretty much disproven. Using straight through mufflers will give the car a very slight increase in performance but I think the increase is not large enough to be perceived in a daily driver by an average driver.

It’s still quiet,you still got the mid box which kills most of the sound other than the cat

installed another muffler, there for it is not cat back.. which would explain the lack of change. Other than that good video

edit: i just checked lengths and the sedan is 7 inches longer than the hatchback so id say its safe to say this guy bought the wrong exhaust, or got shipped the wrong exhaust,or it was listed incorrectly on the site

Actually there was quite a bit of difference. I think that the device that you are using to watch this video my not have good speakers. Try using a good set of headphones or ear buds.

I watched the video again and with my computer set-up I can hear a lot of difference in the sound of the two systems even though this video was shot using a cheap Sony camera. My new camera set-up has an external microphone that yields a much better sound.

I have a 01, what 3xhaust did you go with. I work at a performance shop and can do anything. But a bolt on kit is way cheaper than ordering my shit from vibrant. This exhaust is very disappointing. I live in Alabama also where we have zero emissions laws and is 100% legal to remove my cat
