Can someone help please I need a new bonnet lock(probably the lock and housing too,with a key) as my current one doesn't open as it should (common fault) I live in the UK and need to know the best place to get one from? I haven't yet tried a ford dealership yet
@CarSpyTV2 жыл бұрын
I'd try eBay. Good luck.

So how do you actually see the screws that need to be removed to fit a roof box.
@CarSpyTV7 ай бұрын
On our car, we have to remove some of the finish to see the bolt. It's roughly in the middle of the rectangular space.

The light that shows time and date in the wheel is always on? Because i cant turn it of?
@CarSpyTV2 жыл бұрын
I assume you mean that the screen in the instrument cluster stays lit for some time once the ignition is off? If so, our car does the same (but it always turns off eventually). Best wishes.

Hate the seatbelts in my 3 door focus it’s a big stretch backwards to pull it forward
@CarSpyTV3 жыл бұрын
Not ideal. I've had that on a few three door cars.

Hello, great tips. If I may ask where is parking sensor button, and how it works?
@CarSpyTV3 жыл бұрын
The Focus in my video hasn't got parking sensors - so I can't investigate. Also, I'm not sure what year/trim your particular car is. It might therefore be best to study the owner's manual. Link below. www.ford.co.uk/owner/my-vehicle/download-your-manual

I’m thinking of getting this version of the focus as it’s automatic transmission is better than the power shift version in the later models any experience with the automatic version?
@CarSpyTV3 жыл бұрын
Yes. Been driving one for 13 years (on and off). Is there anything in particular you want to know?

@@CarSpyTV yes please how is it in terms of reliability? How often do you need to get the auto gearbox serviced? And I know there are plenty out there but regarding mileage and maintenance what should I look out for? My budget is 2k and am looking for one with all the bells and whistles so which trim model should I go for as there seems to be a bewildering amount to choose from thanks in advance

Good questions. To answer properly we'd have to sit down and talk at length. I'll summarise my thoughts, though. Our Focus has been very reliable. In addition to the standard used car checks, I'd look online for Focus specific issues if I was buying again today. The Ford Owner's Club is a good resource. www.fordownersclub.com/ The gearbox oil can be changed if you want to 'service' it. I can't remember the schedule at the moment. There is a dipstick to check the level and/or condition of the oil (unlike some cars). 'Titanium' is among the high-spec trims. I always buy cars with full service history and low mileage (if funds permit). You might want to check out my book. It's called 'How To Buy The Right Used Car'. Hi can you tell me how to remove the driver's door window glass ford focus cc3 09
@CarSpyTV3 жыл бұрын
Tricky to explain without making a video (which I haven't done). However, someone else has a video that shows him removing the rear window. Might be work a look. Link below. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ncBllcKczNyolps.html

I'm thinking of getting a 1.4 petrol mk2 and I'm a bit sketched out because of fuel economy. Anyone has any feedback please?
@CarSpyTV2 жыл бұрын
Our Focus 1.6 Petrol Auto (100hp) averages 36+ mpg. That might give you a clue what to expect.
@salvatoreboscarino12502 жыл бұрын
@@CarSpyTV thanks a lot so i expect slightly worse mpg because it is a heavy car for such small engine
@CarSpyTV2 жыл бұрын
I understand the point you're making. The small engine might have to be worked hard, etc. However, I suspect a 1.4 driven gently would manage more mpg than our 1.6 auto in the same scenarios. Would need a side by side test to be sure, though. As I'm sure you know, official fuel consumption figures are not always replicated on the road.
@salvatoreboscarino12502 жыл бұрын
@@CarSpyTV Ah yes you have a point. Thanks a lot for the feedback. I will consider it as this is my first car and I really want to make a good choice.
