A Car that parks itself, speed controls, radar guided cruise control - for $32,500? It's real, and it's the Ford Focus Titanium

Great video. Just bought a 2nd hand, 3rd etc version of this. 2012. This video has shown me more of what it can do than the manual. Excellent stuff, cheers

I've had the estate version now for bout 6 years and have been more than pleased with it. I plan to keep it as long as possible. I love my gadget's and this has got an awful lot of tech on it .Love the way it parks itself , lovely sound system , very comfortable drive. The only nag I have is it should be either leather interior or fabric , mine is both. Leather seats would have just finished it off.

I have owned the Titanium X for four months now and am delighted with it. Re the auto-park system, it parks with millimetric precision in a space you would seriously think twice about if you were relying on your own judgement ie well within two car lengths!

I assume buying a focus titanium 2013 diesel engine 1.6 tdci- is it a good option in terms of clutch sensitivity (enough revs to engine without gas), transmission effectiveness (heard of some transmission problems, not sure if they reffer only to automatics).. hill assistant, and overall drriving experience? Does it only have rear parking sensors (heard of parking assistant- does all titanium models have it). Thanks

I've only ever seen the Auto-park work in a space that a bus could fit into.... what about a tight space? what would it do then?

It is so much more fun to drive manually because your ALWAYS able to shift when YOU want to :)

Whats funny to me is the fact it takes longer to tell the car what to do than to actually do it yourself. He could adjust the temperature faster manually than telling the car to do it. He could change radio stations faster as well, especially if they're pre-programmed than telling the car to do it.

I have a Titanium Navigator 1.6 Petrol Automatic from 2014. I am not able to find & add the digital speedometer on my display screen, I can find Trip 1 but unable to find Trip 2 where the speedometer setting should be. Does anyone knows how to add it if possible?
@wcw4780011 жыл бұрын
You might like to add that the Powershift is essentially designed like a manual transmission with mechatronics controlling the gearshift. So you get the responsiveness of a manual transmission with the convenience of an auto! VW's DSG is similarly designed.

Jeff, this vehicle is designed in Germany. Built in plants around the world. Australian units are from Rayong, Thailand.

Just as a matter of interest, this car was billed here in the UK as a 'World Car'; it's virtually identical wherever it is on sale judging by the many clips on-line!

Actually, it's an Australian registered car hence the Australian accent. The number plate has VIC on it which indicates it was registered in the state of Victoria. He talks about a price of 32.5k (Australian dollars). In the UK it would be about 21k pounds. He also refers to distances in Ks i.e. kilometres. In the UK distances are measured in miles. He also refers to consumption in l/km whereas in the UK we refer to miles/gallon UK number plates have a very different format

im afraid all the current models sold in australia are assembled in thailand now, some 2011 and 2012 models however were manufactured in germany (VIN number starts with WF). not the first time aussies are getting ripped off
@nwithyman11 жыл бұрын
This is not a UK registered car; the entire thing is based in Australia and tested by an Australian - and very well too in my opinion!

There is no affordable automatic parking for a 2013 car unless you want to pay £6k in 2021 for a 2013 car that has one.

Uhm.... I hate to tell you but the build quality is absolutely no different, regardless of whether built in Germany or Thailand. The parts are the same, the build processes are the same, the tolerances are the same, the attention to detail is the same. I know this because I've examined both closely. As an owner of a Thailand built Ford Focus, it's easily the best built car I've ever driven, and I've driven a *lot* of cars (part of my job ;-)

this self parking is useless tbh. everyone can park a little car in a huge parking space. seriously look at the space. you can almost park 2 of these cars there. they should be able to park to little parking spots where it gets tricky but they dont even recognize them. nice thing to have but needs improvement.

37MPG (the conversation I inputted anyway)on a NEW diesel car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is RIDICULOUS especially a diesel!! I expect 50+MPG not 37 MPG, for the non motorist it means a LOT an AWFUL lot!!

OMG! Come on guys! Renault sells its cars with speed limiter since cca. 1998 (Megane I.). It's 2013 now! Wake up! Self parking to a place that is twice as big as the car??? Adaptive cruise control? Once it doesn't work, how do you explain it to the police guys, that you trusted ACC a bit too much??? :)))

I love my 2013 Ford Focus 1.6 tdci too. You know what i complain about? Just the assemblage of plastics in the cabin is not perfect and so they creak on uneven tarmac or because of vibrations of diesel engin on the chassis.
