Nice build! I am looking to start something like this in the near future. Do you have a total time of how long you've been working on your vehicle, time for a complete build, and a total estimation of cost (tools included) I should be prepared to spend? Any information is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately I haven’t closely tracked the hours for the build. I received the kit November of 2021. So far my cost is in the $75-80k range. Although my cost is higher than most due to the fact I used all new components for the engine build and it’s an aluminum block. You will need the standard mechanics tools, plus items to do bodywork, alignment tools, and make sure you have plenty of lights. Hope this helps.

The thing that baffles me about this car 🚗 is the transmission. Its at the rear & has like the rear axle all in 1 with the wheels. Haven't seen much info on them.

It’s a Porsche transaxle in this car. It’s a transmission and differential all in one. Originals had a ZF transaxle.

What was the db level after you welded the discs in when revving?

Supprisingly all db levels when revved were ~98.5. Didn’t seem to make any difference when revving the engine.

@@FordGT-40_MKI good to know. I plan on purchasing the mk1 from RCR in a couple of months and will likely consider individual mufflers given your luck with the spiral baffles.
