An interesting situation about taking on a job and changing plans mid way through. Being able to catch and prevent a potential problem is what will ultimately make you a better builder in the end.

I had a buddy once who hated "compromising" when it came to getting jobs done. He wanted to do it right start to finish. Thats what this is, doing it right the first time, from the start... i wish the place i work understood that concept 😥 Lookg forward to that video though!

Mercedes exhaust tips are bolted in place. There is about 1/4 inch gap between exhaust pipe and tip. Exhaust can move or (flex) around tips are always spot on..

hi please can you help me, ive got a mig welder, when working on my car can i connect my clamp to a peice of metal and put it on the ground to weld, its clamp positive, and gun negative, im thinking my clamp will just spark of the ground, and send its current there and not back into my gun tip when welding? ive had a gun positive mig before and that was fine welding on the ground as the current came from the gun

Hi, would like to get your input on helmets. I’ve got a Lincoln auto darkening and even after just an hour of practice, I’m getting flash issues with- one eye or another. I know you mention anything under $100 is junk. It seems that my $150 isn’t that great and there are many new brands that are claiming 1/10,000 sec or quicker darkening and have grind settings and solar power. Would it be possible for you to give us an update on helmet technology and specific models to help us save our nights and mornings of sand in our eyes? Thanks, Tony in OC.....coming to a class soon!!!

Miler digital infinity series relic About $270 bit worth every penny. Magnification and lenses are cheap and readily available. Its a 4 sensor helmet. Try changing your delay. The longer the delay the longer it stays dark AFTER the arc goes out.

Exhausts shouldn't be solidly mounted. They are supposed to be able to flex, to move with the engine. If the exhausts are then moving to such an extent that the tips are hitting the bodywork, then the engine mounts are fucked!

i guess i dont see the problem. you made a 90. so you make another and the cold side, resurface the hotside flange thats bent, and move onto the cold side... why re-engineer the whole thing?? go with whatcha already got, add the new cold side and move on with life....?? fabricobblers.....we take the crap we're given and we turn sh!t into shinola, every day..... that's the gig.

Because the exhaust is not mounted well and is a bit outdated. Would be more work to "fabricobble" than to make a new one.

@@ButBigger42 What does an "outdated" exhaust mean? I don't under stand how a bent pipe in good condition (no holes or rust) is outdated. Yeah, the turbos maybe since their design does change a little as technology improves, but swapping them out is a simple flange change and maybe a little rerouting tweaks. And as far as an uneven flange, its quite simple to level on a flat sander. Thats why they created gaskets for, to compress or fill the unevenness in the two flanges. Because of the heat cycles, the flanges will always be uneven. Even a new flat one will warp after a few heat cycles. Hence why gaskets are used. Like they say KISS and don't fix what ain't broke. Pretty sure if the customer wanted to "update" the exhaust, they'd just buy the latest GT turbo kit from UGR. Their design is proven and tested.

The new 2017 Ford GT is a copied 2020 Nissan GTR Gran Turismo concept that came out 2014....the rear is identical to the Nissan GTR concept....Shame on you FORD... Google it
