The Ford Ka is more fun to drive than the Fiat 500 it's based on and is passably practical for a small car. It's less chic than the Fiat, but not without charm. Overpriced and under-equipped. There's a diesel option, but it makes no economic sense with UK taxation.

Had my Ka Edge for nine years from new, no rust, excellent fuel economy, good boot, polishes up like new, handling is good. So glad we bought ours.

I've got the KA studio 2013, had it over a year, no problems, reliable car, and cheap tax and cheap insurance, what more does a driver want👍

Absolutely correct, couldn't agree more. I own the Ford KA Edge, had it for over 3 years and no issues. 30 pound a year tax and reasonable insurance costs makes this a no brainer.

I have the diesel of this car and had it for 6/7 yrs, and its a great little car, just a pitty Ford didn't have different engine to chose from as the same as the Fiat 500

Love mine. Its seriously underpowered but holds the road well. I enjoy sucking tailgating Audis, BMWs etc into the local bends and watching them panic brake in my mirrors. They never learn.

this model is different from the model that was sold in Brazil in the second generation, our Ka is already in the third generation

What's wrong with taking bits from the best? As long as its done well. In this case the KA's steering is one-up of the 500. Not many manufacturers are 100% original these days, even the top brands.

yep the older fiesta was a mazda, the mondeo was the basis for a jaguar for a while, citroen,peugoet and toyota make a car between them. in the end it makes a better car as each has ideas and they use the best

In Brazil, the Ka is infinitely lower than the european. Ford could manufacture this model here, it's nice and small cars are a solution to the urban chaos.

Since Im in America I had no idea Ford anything smaller than the Fiesta. I almost bought the Fiesta but it felt too cramped for me (and I'm a small guy) so I bought the Focus hatchback. I can only imagine how cramped the Ka would be.

the KA is very much a european car, its larger inside than say the orig mini, and the american fiesta isnt the same as the UK fiesta anyway, we like our cars different, our roads are much narrower

I couldn't disagree more. I have a 2015 1,2 Trend and I find it spaceous enough. And I'm a big guy at 6 foot 1, 280lbs. But I'm european perhaps we don't need as much space lol.

yep spot on ^ most similar car is the vaux corsa, same price, the VW up which is a much cheaper car still sells for about the same price, same as a C1 etc

My mom owned a Ka when I was eleven. Pretty cute little car. It was the ony car which didn't have a glove compartment I had ever seen. Also, too cramped inside. My cousin also has one. It's really a girl's car.

thats the OLD version, this is a totally new version, has a glove box too, many cars didnt have glove box, the mini for example

@@juliebaxter3564 nothing sexist here, it's only about size. Females are smaller than males in general and the ka is a rather small vehicle, better suited for small individuals.

I just got rid of a 2012 ka studio. It had 50 thousand on it and i did 12 thousand on it over 18 months and thw gear box bearings went in it and they wanted 1000 euro to fix it. Its a badly built car

+Duck Man That's strange, I've had three of these now, 2010 did 44000 miles, then a 62 plate and did over 100,000 miles without a single issue and just got a zetec which is an absolute pleasure, maybe you just had a faulty gear box.

+ Bat man,Duck man is correct,, the gearbox is rubbish on these,my KA gearbox was rebuilt by previous after 50,000mls ,i couldnt believe it until he showed me the invoice
