Episode 25 - 2-Tooth Steering Rebuild - Rebuilding the Steering Column | Shortened Pitman Arm
On this episode of Epic Restorationz the guys rebuild the steering column for the 2-Tooth steering gear box. Join us as we show you how to install the control rods and control arms, mount the steering column to the chassis, and adjust it to the distributor. Taking things a step further, we also replace the old worn out pitman arm with a new shortened pitman arm.

To get the felts installed (without removing the bushing) I used a length of tubing that fit over the control rod, and slightly larger tubing for over the smaller tubing. Put the felt on the smaller tube, lined it upto the control rod and pushed the felt up. Larger tubing inserted over the smaller tube to extract the small tube, left the felt in place.

We got all of our parts for this project from Snyder’s. The link to their page is www.snydersantiqueauto.com. If you search under Model A Categories and then Steering, you should be able to find most all of the parts that we used.
